    Hot off the press...

    1979 Lamborghini Silhouette -

Maybe not the nicest one in existence, but when will you next see another one for sale?

This is without doubt 40104, easily recognised due to the non standard seats. The originals were sold on eBay in 2007...

Tried to buy it, but too late (like probably tens of other guys)!!!

    I received their newsletter/E-mail at 00:23 CET
    Woke up late at 08:30
Sent an email to Peter at 08:32 saying i wanted it
Answer back at 14:42 from Anthony Stella saying deposit taken

Next time i'll just send money directly without asking...GIVE ME THOSE WIRING DETAILS !!!!

These guys have crazy prices for average cars, but still low prices, like Beverly Hills Car Club...

old school/no nonsense guys.. I must admit i like that.

you just don't find these sort of dealers anymore in Europe.

My god i liked this Silhouette, probably the last one built and good value for money.

was it typical for the silhouette to say uracco on the gear shift? id imagine so but seems odd to me.

According to my notes 40104 was the 31st production car consigned.

The owners of this Miura SV and Silhouette ventured out together yesterday, first in one car then the other, to experience two completely different solutions to motoring at its best. The pub lunch was good too!

There is a great video here by Davide Chironi featuring Pierluigi Mori who amongst other things road tested production cars including the Silhouette. This is what he has to say about the Urraco and Silhouette...

"I had the pleasure to drive all three versions, 2.4 the first produced, the 2.0 which was produced in only a few specimens...then the 3.0 a great car, eight cylinder engine, double overhead cam, a linear and high performance engine. These mechanics were later used in the Silhouette, a 2 seater convertible, very nice and pleasant to drive, because it drove like a go-cart, it was fun to drive it, setting the curves you felt calm and safe..."

video by Davide Chironi featuring Bicocchi "for me the urraco was the most beautiful supercar in the world"

great to hear accounts of these test drivers with such humble beginnings to end up where they did through sheer passion.

Well worth watching and what a career - Lamborghini, Bugatti, Pagani, Konigsegg...
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cU37VATS44c

"...the Urraco was for me the most beautiful super car in the world. It was the smallest of the Lamborghini family, but it was the best at that time"...

I see he was trained by Sterzel who joined Lamborghini at the end of 1975...
