ivor isnt it interesting how the vintage photo look more orange then red? everyone's image of urraco bob rallye color is skewed by old photos as you have long suspected.
Hi Richard, I found two photos of 40006, which I took at the Nürburgring back in 1983 or 1984. This was the first occasion for me to see a real Silhouette. The file is to big to post on the Tread.

I am uncertain, maybe they were originally silver until end 1982.. 40006 was not registered until 1980 and the first three factory service invoices all mention rim painting! 17/12/80 Ritocchi vari di vernice, lucidatura completa. I quoted the year incorrectly. 40016 said "I found two photos of 40006, which I took at the Nürburgring back in 1983 or 1984". There is a Jalpa alongside 40006 with external fuel filler. This feature was introduced at the very end of 1983, so the photo was probably taken in 1984...
