355 Slime...in electrical connections?

    I get how my brake lines could have gunk in them, whether it's degradation of fluid caused by heat/time, water adsorption from the atmosphere, contamination by adding something to the DOT 4, or some combination.

    But my MAF connector shouldn't have had any liquids in it in the first place, right? Obviously I was able to clean it, but any clues on what happened here? (I had to take it off to get clearance to access to the bypass tube to install a new thermocouple.)

    Possibly dielectric grease grease to protect it from corrosion, salt and water etc that got old.

    Ah, good point. There is no salt here (unless you drive to the beach) so I tend to forget about it.

    Probably there is water however and that corrodes as well. Even washing it. Good luck!
