This is the first time I've ever heard someone say anything bad about Red Bull - I HATE that crap! Tastes like medicine, and doesn't do anything for me.

Last week I found some Hansen's Energy drinks at Big Lots - $0.49 each!! SCORE. I also found the big cans, for $0.59 each. I thought I was doing good until I drank a whole one and my eyeballs felt like they were pressurized and I had a big headache.

Red Bull, coffee, Jolt, whatever... I'll just sleep more.

Your nuts, Redbull is awsome. Too bad it makes me way to hyper and then BAM! zero energy. Not very good for sports IMO

Red Bull as an "energy" drink is a total scam. It's "energy" comes from 28 grams of sugar in an 8 ounce can. Think of an 8 ounce glass of water and then dump in 7 teaspoons of sugar.

Sugar has no nutritional value and ingesting too much sugar can throw off your dietary balance, not to mention drive you into hyperactivity. The "crash" when you come off a sugar high ain't fun either.

Additionally, RB just purchased the Minardi team which will now be know as Red Bull Jr., so they will have 4 cars in F1 for 2006. This will be a great platform for new talent, hopefully getting Scott Speed into races next year!! Vito Luizzi also looks promising....

While I appreciate their commitment to marketing in F1, I think their drink is the most vial piss water on the face of the earth, I can smell it from across the room and it is N A S T Y.

Try AMP energy drink, it's from the makers of Mountain Dew (Pepsico). Much better tasting than Red Bull, IMO. Still $2 for 8.4 fl oz is expensive... maybe crystal meth is cheaper!!

The sugar free Red Bull taste great to me...great with vodka too! I agree that the sugar version is a little too sweet.

I was told that regular red bull is still the healthiest (no artificial sugar, no high fructose corn syrup)....anyone know?

I'm not sure about healthy, but I showed a can of Red Bull to a friend who's a doctor and he said "oh..heart attack in a can". I guess he's referring to the stimulants? It's still a good mixer w/vodka, though nothing beats vodka on the rocks or out of the freezer.

Yea they're all bad for you, but sometimes you just want a buzz and when you can't have liquor it's a great substitute in the morning.

I was up in Bakersfield (pulling an all-nighter before a race) and actually got carded when I was buying Red Bull. I took the lovely (not) clerk to task on this and she stated that a few kids had died from it and she was told to only sell it to people that were 18+.. Um, yeah.
