Grigio Scuro was popular a shile back. But then I saw an 812 in thay color and it really didnt do anything to my eye. It was a special historic paint with an upcharge if my feeble memory serves me.
Sounds like you dont like to apply logic to purchasing things Paint is something which is an inherent part of a car Glad to hear that some non metallic paints are standard Im buying the 12 C so yes Im a sucker I think our different opinions may have a deeper basis I am a Citizen of the USA and you are a subject of the UK. Its a different outlook and perspective
American consumers are vocal and complain when they feel that they are being played. They believe in the ever lasting hope that their complaints will result in a change for the better. Interesting historic detail about life in Florence was that at 5 pm on Fridays many men would gather in the public market place and engage in a discussione where they would complain about everything which bothered them. Their business woes, their politicians , the high costs of goods, and their families and neighbors. When i was in Florence I watched and thought that the men were close to throwing blows But they weren't. They felt better letting it all hang out as one would say
Oh we whinging Poms can moan alright. It’s just nobody will listen if you complain your Ferrari is too expensive! Not sure if the ‘citizens’ and ‘subjects’ comment was intended but if it was, it was highly perceptive given our respective leaders (post US election)…
I realize that I'm a complainer. And having done some business with the UK and Germany Ive learned the hard way about the cultural differences. British are more polite and reserved and more passive aggressive with their language, too But that doesn't mean they don't feel the same or at least a bit of the same angst! They accept things meaning the realities of life and business more easily than others. They just put forth reticence and a stiff upper lip better than the average american consumer, especially one who comes from humble beginnings. (I am eager for the new car)
Assuming constant state of economy- I don’t see that happening with F12’s in the mid 200’s and few available for sale. The 812 is a major upgrade in handling too.
Value for money, the slightly used older V12 s are a good choice. The 12 C reflects corporate projections about price and desire. Ferrari may have gotten both wrong. Too agressive in the pricing and a design which may not attract the buyers
