I'm trying to test for spark on my 348, but the plug wire ends and the coil connector is much different than
my OTC spark tester. I'm afraid I'm not getting a good connection. What does one do in this situation?

Why not just leave a spark plug attached to the wire and look for spark when cranking

    A timing light works.
An inductive tester works (that is what a timing light pick up is)
Grab on to the lead also works (not recommended)
Attach a spark plug and touch it to ground works (but it would misfire)

Why not just use a meter ? They are copper core wires
