Spec'ing another 720s

My first 720 was a Launch Edition - beautiful spec, Memphis Red, a ton of carbon and Performance Package. Sticker was about $370K but I did not get to choose anything. If anyone is interested in a bad ass car it is for sale at McLaren of Sterling. PPF on most of the car and it still has the Kooks down pipes and exhaust but I still have the Sport Exhaust system and factory down pipes which are in great condition. Car is ~3,500 miles. It is going to list at $330K. Few thousand more and I throw in the luggage.

On to the new spec, I was 99% going coupe but decided to switch to a spider. If I don't like it when it comes in then I get something else. I initially was spec'ing the launch color blue, I believe it is called Belize but after screwing with the configurator I am now leaning towards the following.

Glacier White Performance
New 10 spoke light wheels in stealth
Mac Orange calipers, seat trim and seat belts
Manual seats
B&W
360 Camera
Carbon Paddles
Std exhaust as I will replace with Kooks once again

Any thoughts on colors? I built this online and it looks pretty darn sick to me.

Order goes in tomorrow. Car will be here in April.

 

I like the regular white as well. I was really leaning towards that launch blue but when I saw the swatch it looks more green or aquamarine.

 

I am in VA. I will throw in the luggage which is still in the wrapper just for you.

 

A couple of things:

1) I am definitely getting an LT which will be a coupe
2) I figure the spider will sell easily if I use it for a month or two and not digging it as it will be March/April timeframe.

Yes I could pick up a dealer stock car but would prefer to order one again while they sell mine.

 

Not crazy. The performance package come with a bunch of carbon and that's it. The palladium looks fine on the front splitter and rear valance. It lists around $350K as spec'd which is reasonable. I added the essentials options. The spider comes std with the lift BTW which is ~$2,500. There are some other things bundled in but I don't recall all of the details. I will post the build sheet when we finish up tomorrow.

 

Interestingly, they told me that not one person traded their coupe on a spider. Everyone who ordered a spider kept their coupe. That is a testament to the coupe. They really want mine to sell, they only have a few new coupes there right now so the timing is pretty good.

I am guessing it will be $400k+ so stuff that piggy bank. I needed some more motivation to work, the LT will be the carrot I dangle to get a couple other deals done.

 

Went to the dealer to finalize my spec and changed the color to Cosmos Black with Mclaren Orange calipers, belts and interior. At the end of the day Memphis or Volcano Red are my favorite colors but I did not want to have the same color car. I kept looking back at my car which is an awesome spec and wondering if I did the right thing. I have a feeling I will be ordering another coupe - God help me.

Thank you. Yes, stealth pack included and the new 10 spoke lightweight in stealth, with Mac Orange calipers and interior. I did not get the chromatic roof. I felt like it was something I wouldn't care about it. Top down - who cares. Top up, makes no difference to me. My current car has the carbon roof vs. glass which I preferred as well. Between the manual seats and non chromatic roof I bet my spec is not not much heavier than a coupe.

 

Is your car also Cosmos? Can we get a pic of your interior please? Maybe a side shot as well. Thanks
