Anyone know the torque value for the bolts holding the steel spline hub to the alloy wheel on 1987 Testarossa with center locks?

The single bolt early testarossa have a splined wheel.

thank you david. now I know what "splined" means.
the translator says under splined in german also splined, but when I put in splined wheel the translator says "vielzahnrad", but even this is not correct. it must say "längsverzahnung", so splined means longitudinal gear teeth.

always learning here in this great forum :)

It is hard to get the true meaning of another language when translated!

I believe it is shown on page M7 of the TR WSM:

    "Screw securing flange to wheel 12 x 1,25 (M12 x 1.25P in English) 5 daN-m (36.9 ft-lb in English)"

And it is pretty important the condition of the surfaces those flanges are mounted to. One of the biggest reasons they are removed it to repaint the wheels. If there is a large build up of paint or an uneven surface due to the paint the hub flanges will "work", wear through the paint and end up loose.

No, the OP is asking about the bolts holding the steel female spline piece to the aluminum wheel piece -- the 5-lug wheel lugbolts are an M14 x 1.5P size (and 72 ft-lb torque).

That torque spec seems rather low considering the application and hardware involved. The WSM I have indicates 7.5 daN-m (~55 ft-lbs.).

Yes -- my mistake, should be 7.5 (wrongly read the line below which is the same M12 x 1.25P size), but I had the M7 page right ;)
