360 Spyder Convertible Part - What is this for?

    I took my 2001 360 Spyder out today and when putting the top down it didn’t want to close. I brought it up again to give it a second try and saw this part (pictures below) near the drivers side clasp where it latches.

    Does anyone know what this is and where it’s supposed to go? Right now the top is down again. When looking at the car it appears to have fully closed but it is still showing a “Roof Open” light. It also latches shut but the warning light never goes off.

    Welcome any insight on what this part is for and where it needs to go back too.
