I'm looking for the replacement bushing for the right side of the rack and a new set of boots. PI motorsports which deals mostly with Pantera parts has a kit for $109.00 the bushing has an OD of 1.213 and ID .844 someone on Fchat said this would work on my 308. anyone know for sure? Or have a better place to go for these parts. Thanks

Which 308 do you have? An early car will have a CamGears rack, later ones used TRW. The Panteras used CamGears racks.

I did mine with the PI motorsport bushing. 1977 and it worked perfect, mine is a cam gear. A new bushing can also be machined locally. I also had the idea of putting a grease fitting in place of the retaining screw so it could be greased occasionnally if a hole is made in the bushing. Any thoughts about that?

I found a re-pop rack for $250, I think I'll put that in for the rest of the summer and send the original one out over the winter for a rebuild.

That sounds like a great idea. Grease is good.
