Howdy, re: 01 360 Spyder Euro 32k miles. Here are the details. On a warm engine and upon restart (even after cars been sitting for an hour +/ low cat temps) I'll get a flashing SDL code P1449 (Cat temp Bank 2.) I've checked the ground near the tail lights AND swapped the Cat ECU and thermocouple with the other bank. Was hoping code would switch to 1445 (Bank 1) but still 1449. The flashing light goes out after about a minute of driving (car drives great.) I searched the archives but no luck. Any known spots to look out for with the wiring? Thanks fellas, Chad p.s. Worth noting even after longer drives, cat temps are fine!
Yessir, with an IR thermometer. SDL will flash on startup even when cats have cooled to <200F. FWIW, after drives around town they're maybe 500F+ (but again SDL goes off after about a min of startup and only return upon next startup...) Only time it doesn't flash is when it's an overnight cold start.
Chad - given you swapped components, I'd say the wiring from the Cat ECU to the main ECU may be the issue. Make up a temporary pig tail and see what happens (bypassing the factory wires)
