I think pretty much everything in the summary is right, with one but....modern screw type compressors work better at every rpm. The draw back is the screw type can be harder to package becasue they are bigger.

I've changed directions on my project so I'm passing the baton along to someone who'd like to complete it. It's most of the bits needed to SC a 3X8QV. mk_e built the manifolds, which still need final finishing. I have a list of the bits and can provide more pics if needed.
For the nitty gritty of the install, mk_e knows the in's and outs for succsesfull completion.
Here's a "teaser" pic of the bits on my work bench. PM me if interested.

For a supercharger the Rotrex unit is in my opinion the best choice. pricier than most, well worth the cost due to the engineering behind it.

2yrs ago I did a 328 with a rotrex unit, COP, EFI and water/air inter-cooler as temps do tend to spike a bit over 12psi. crank HP is around 450. to say the car was nervous is an understatement.

You can 'bolt-on' a supercharger and go, I highly recommend that the engine be gone thru and at the very least new rings and bearings put in.

the last pic is the first charger I did on my Mondial back in '05 that is a Vortec and still running today after 40k+ miles.

What beautiful installations of the supercharger in your 328 and the Mondi!
Can you say more about the type of air/water intercooler and the cooling circuit in the 328? (I can't even see it in the picture)
