I honestly don't think I have ever ordered one part from these folks that fit on my car. No exaggeration!

I like them because they have many items in stock, but I certainly don't like their ridiculiously high shipping costs.
One rear window rubber = 100 UK pounds.
Shipping that rubber in a bag (from UK to The Netherlands): 49 UK pounds...
They really should change that, but I presume they make extra money on it.

Haven't had any problems with the products but really dislike the checkout procedure. I want the total cost specified directly so that I can choose right there to order or not. Rest of the world can do that so please update your order system. Agree with Harry-SZ about shipping, very difficult to predict.

I tried ordering a small gasket once but the shipping was outrageous so I didn’t order and because of that I never even considered using them if I needed something. Are you guys that use them not paying high cost to ship to US?

I've ordered from them via telephone and requested Royal Post / USPS. Shipping cost was low amd delivery time was remarkably quick.

I HAVE found their products to be of inconsistent quality. The long rear targa top / door gasket was great; inexpensive, fit perfectly and even came in a yellow box with horsies. On the other hand, the crank position sensors I ordered worked fine but the bolt holes had to be elongated substantially before the bolts would fit.

The original crank position sensors are NLA for the last couple of years; the ones sold by Superformance are the same sold by everybody, and they all require some modification of the mounting plate no matter the vendor.

They got a bad rep in the past from selling cam cover gaskets made from an inferior material. I spoke to them on the phone about this, and expect others complained also, and they have now changed the material to the same Klingersil material as the OEM ones.

Indeed, I had some of those grey gaskets. Worse than useless

Noted that the OEM gaskets seem to be about half the price they used to be though :)

Agreed, the ones in stock are not suitable for modern fuels and perish rapidly. Source the SAE J30 R9 fuel injected hose, its reverse compatible with carb cars and is far superior to the old stocked hoses. Not available in cotton braided hose to keep it original looking but I tend the err on the side of safety. There are overbraid materilas on the market which can be retro fitted to restore a little originality to them. A heat shrink overbraid is available and works very well.

Like all suppliers of specialist parts, some don't fit to well, I have had issues with parts from everyone as they have been manufactured from originals and are not always an exact replica, they all have to way up cost of the part to you, the customer. Its not easy but I know they (and others) welcome feedback so they can improve the product. I know Colin at Superformance and he is a dedicated classic car person and strives to get it right.

I would prefer a part that I can get than nothing at all, most of our cars would sit in the garage if it wasn't for these guys.

    Best

Yes, I think if we are going to critique them let’s at least have current validated info. If there was something not right 2 or 3 years ago it doesn’t necessarily have any meaning now if it’s been corrected.

Hi, just spent a small fortune with them and going back for more! Great customer service, good prices and amazing knowledge. In my case, no issues with any products (complete suspension overhaul), belts, gaskets, seal and pulleys plus full service kit for US 308QV. About to order euro bumper and brackets.

I think their customer service is fantastic. Shipping from the UK to US is high to begin with, and they use an expedited service on top of that. Costs are absolutely brutal, unless you're purchasing a large quantity of items at once, but I've found the quality of their parts to be excellent (haven't bought gaskets from them). My only negative experiences with them have been purchasing certain replacement hoses, and they send me superior/new vendor hoses that don't have stock appearance, even though their site pics look stock; only a concern if you're doing a concours restoration, but can be important to some. I received a different-colored windshield washer hose, and unsheathed long brake booster vacuum hose, and they refunded the washer hose and sourced me the OEM-style correct booster hose at no charge. They're pretty responsive.

I’ve ordered many parts for my Dino over the past couple years with very few issues. Shipping is 4 days, reliable, and worth the cost, imho.
I think we are lucky to have them supporting these old cars.

Just be sure you know what you are getting. Much of what they offer is not genuine OEM parts, it's reproductions and some parts are less than stellar quality like the 355 main bearings they offer that come burred up.

I have bought for tens of thousands of punds of spare parts from SF and they have been the most reliable supplier all in all. The quality can vary, but that is no different from other suppliers of the same type of products. Hoses and other generic stuff is better bought at specialist shops. I have sent countless emails to us suppliers and very rarely received any reply at all and have therefor more or less given up that route (Ebay works fine though). SF always respond to my emails and phone calls, but their sipping cost is crazy as mentioned by many others. See invoice below stating shipping cost for a few backorder items, that could be send in a envelope for 7 £. I believe SF could increase their sale significantly if they changed shipping policy and became a little more flexible.....I wonder if they know how big a turnoff it is for the customer to pay too much for shipping of small orders?

The items I’ve bought are for 246 Dino. I don’t know of any other supplier that supports the Dino as strongly as SF.

Lots of Hill Engineering parts too. I’ve gotten a couple shoddy parts, but mostly good.

I originally began using them because of Brexit and the very favorable USD to GBP exchange rate that ensued around mid to late 2016. That has since tapered off a bit but is still somewhat favorable. As for OEM vs aftermarket I believe there are very few, if any, parts for these cars being made by Ferrari so the same cautions and issues need to be considered no matter where you get your stuff. Community forums like this one can be very helpful in that regard.

That is 100% accurate. Like most auto makers, the main engine components (block, heads, cranks, cams, rods, pistons) as well as body components are made but the OEM. The vast majority of other parts are tier suppliers. However, in many cases, the OEM's have pretty strict QC over the vendors, although we all know this is not Ferrari's strength. My prior comments was not a dig in total against them - they do provide value and good parts - but as I said, just go in with your eyes open.

I’m an grateful for Superformance. They are nice to but their technical knowledge ( the nice ladies who answer the phones) is not that good ( but who could know so much about all the different models). So know exactly what you need and you will be very happy.
