Looking at the Superformance bushing sets

    S308FS for the front "Rubber"

    and

    S308RS4 for the rear "Rubber"

Anyone have experience with these? And do they need to be welded?

    Thanks

I believe all inner bushes need to be spot welded to stop rotation ...unlike many US or OZ cars that can be just pressed in!
I used the Superformance parts you mention and they work great.

I went with the Maserati guy on Ebay. Was a great deal for both front and rear suspension. I got the sway bar bushings from superformance

I've read they squeak unfortunately so that wasn't an option for me. I didn't know the bushings from maseratinet came from China... does it show that somewhere?

    Edit:

Just looked and it shows they are made in Italy... not China

Our poly graphite impregnated A arm bushings are designed not to squeak and last the life time of the vehicle. These are specially designed to re use the factory Ferrari outer bushing housing that is welded to the A arm for a much faster and easier installation time.

I bought all OEM bushings for my suspension rebuild. I did not even think about whether or not there were aftermarkets available. Im happy with my OEM Konis as well, on all four legs. I figured the first set lasted 100k miles, so why not stick with the Konis. I know I have mentioned this before, the motor mounts really made a difference in how the car felt when everything was done. Im absolutely pleasantly surprised that the OEM Konis lasted as long as they did, both in build quality and performance over the life of the 328 at 100 k miles !! You have to hand it to Ferrari, that this 1989 328 GTS handles as well as it does even by todays standards , and with a set of four fat sticky tires and wide wheels, I can hold my own on any canyon road .

    This sounds lovely.
Is it really much easier as you wouldo not change the active outer bush ring - simply send to powdercoat as with the a-arm attached and is good to go.
modular , easier to maintain or even custom change in the future - just swap it out seems easy.
You want to try a small chage in bush material or detail suspension or???, simpply buy and RR& insert then tighten in
