No mention of when the last major service was done and what condition the clutch is in. If none were done, add $10k-15k to the after the sale price... that's if there are no other issues.

I know the car. It has literally no history...

Silver looks nice. But the interior looks partially redone. And unfortunately not a good job.

Raysur hit the nail on the head. Off color exterior and interior, but the biggest blem is no history. I like off color TR's, but it needs some paperwork to back it up.

The dash has horrible shrinkage and likely spent time sitting in the sun. Seats are not original and 40 photos with no shots of the engine bay or luggage compartment is suspect. You'd be close to $100k or more once all the issues are sorted out.

At first I thought it was sunlight/shadows of the interior. But yep, grey inserts on doors and seats. Forget my "looks nice" statement. Hell, forget I started this thread.

    Mods?

Boy listen to you guys. Similar diatribe here towards a 1994 512 TR here a few years ago. Glad I take things with a grain of salt...

Looks great! Difference is ; i for one, actually know that TR for sale and it has no history, not an original interior +shrinkage and high mileage... this adds up in the tr world to a nice bill!

Maybe slightly rising? I bought a 1986 TR with 37k miles at Barrett Jackson auction back in October. I paid $88k with buyers premium.

Actually 37k for 101 is an uptrend to me. Not by much though

What is the most coveted model? The latest 1991 with all the revisions? Or the first two years with the flying mirror?

Exactly, I remember that discussion about how terrible the car was and how no one would touch that car when it was at Naples back in the 2012-13 timeframe if I recall right; all for a bunch of silly reasons...then it was bought for <$100k and the market took off...then the same clowns that poo pooed the car were lamenting they missed out. top it all off the car was front line featured in the red, white, and blue display at the 2014 international!

The one you like and want to drive - you'll hear both are the most desired...but naturally from the owners of the respective models. As far as I'm concerned the 512TR is the most refined cosmetically and drivability wise and the most desirable.

I meant between testarossa models not 512TR which is obviously a better and more coveted car.
Between the flying mirror first two years (85-86) vs the last year of the testarossa (1991)

There's no consensus. It's a matter of opinion. For me it's the early monospecchios. Mine's on the right.

I agree. The ‘85-‘86 single mirror is the car to have!

I can't substantiate this, but I have seen a couple of Testarossas with 2-tone interiors, done the same way as that Silver car. In fact I had a black Testarossa that had black interior, with the door inserts, central seat panels, and carpets in burgundy color, even the luggage compartment was carpeted in burgundy. I heard that this style of interior was "special ordered"...and was very similar to Koenig styled interiors. If someone knows for sure - please post.

I can appreciate that someone tried to redo the leather in that silver car, it's too bad that they went to all that trouble and not take the time to get the correct fit, seams lined up, etc. I know this Silver car is far from pristine, but I would not be afraid of this car....for the right price. It would be a good solid driver after a bit of tinkering.
