Hi everyone, Could anyone write a sum up of all the new cars and projects that are in the pipe, including the code names? We hear of F167, F250, F255, we also heard of kind of PF and small PS full electric coming in a few years (can’t remember the project code names)… and from what I can read here and there on different threads is getting me confused on all the projects being developed by Ferrari. Many thanks!
Oh yes! I should have missed this one but of course it’s quite complete and gathers all the info a was expecting for such a post. Thanks!
I can see a VS of both the SF90 coupe and spiders which I’d expect to be a short production run. Do we know whether a replacement of the SF90 is in the pipe? I can see a potential 296 replacement using the V6 hybrid platform but nothing related to the replacement of the v8 hybrid from that list
The SF90 is, by all comparisons, a very slow seller for a rear-mid-engine Ferrari. About 1200 for Europe since production began (that equals about one year of 488 sales, so SF90 run-rate is 30% of the previous V8/turbo models, 488 and F8 Tributo) I believe the SF90VS will extend its production life until 2026/2027 model year (I presume it will not be a limited edition), maybe an all electric is what follows SF90?
That would make sense to me. Hence Ferrari also abandoning the V8 to reduce overall fleet emission to preserve the V12 which is their very soul
And, that timeline I suggest would be why no SF90 replacement appears in the guidance of new models by 2026.
It will be limited… the cleaning lady told me.. will also have a huge wing, but that might be a cost option.
I believe that Ferrari is done with limited/numbered editions other than Icona and Hypercar. There is no reason to have a limited edition of the SF90VS where the base model production is very slow (fewer than 1000 produced per year). As for a large wing, that would be curious for a non-track special, when is the last time Ferrari did that?
If you put aside the untouchable Icona series for ordinary mortals, there are only 167 and its derivatives left... everything else has absolutely no interest and looks like a Mc Donald burger served to someone who loves gastronomy
The LMH was released. Interestingly with a 3L v6 turbo hybrid. Does that indicate the Laferrari replacement will likely be v6 or v8 turbo hybrid / ev but no v12?
that was apparently already answered here: Image Unavailable, Please Login V8turbo+hybrid is what is shown by Ferrari in June
One interpretation of this chart could be that the pure v12 will be reserved only to icona series in the future hence the meaning “v12 iconic engines”. We might see it one last time in a production series on the f167…interesting times ahead
Yes, according to rumors the F167 project was at risk for being cancelled by CEO Vigna but the project was too far along in its development so it was allowed to continue. The difference being the 812 was the final V12 "top model", that 'crown' was then transferred to the SF90, thus the F167 will not be the top model. And, current rumors are exactly that, after the F167, no more V12 for standard production, however, the F167 will continue production for many many years, maybe until 2030.
True, however, how incredibly disappointing if Ferrari's ultimate car is a menagerie of 3 (engine, turbos, hybrid) and a puny engine (3L), less than half of the LaF in cylinders and displacement. I believe if that is what is the next hyper car, all previous Ferrari V12 hypercars will noticeably jump up in value on the day of that reveal, maybe by 30%.
Agreed. Its a matter of time before the halo v12 ( and special series v12) jump substantially in value. It’s time to snap those cars for whoever can i still think they are cheap compared to what they will be very soon.
