Not as original as one would hope? Forgive me Marcel but I don't catch the meaning of this. OK if you don't want to elaborate further.....
I don't believe the auction guidance/estimate includes the buyer's premiums - it reflects what the hammer is expected to be.
Japan authorities often overstamp chassis numbers with their own JAPANESE chassis numbers (their own Japanese system). Marcel Massini
What was the high bid on it then? It's still not listed on the still-for-sale section. Did a new price make a deal after the original high bid? https://rmsothebys.com/en/home/still-for-sale/MO18
Overall looks like levels are softening.....FWIW I just picked up a 599GTO (nothing to do with this auction) for peanuts...it has original delivery km (<100km). I'm told my 458SA bought in May this year (1000km on clock) is cheapest one traded yet.....
Thanks for the clarification. I can't imagine why something like that would de-value a car (maybe it didn't), but I guess these things start to matter when you're talking about that much money.

Their twitter account never posted a sale price and it looks like it's still for sale with make an offer feature. https://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1991-ferrari-f40-4/ Edit: I see you were asking what the high bid was and not purchase price...my mistake.
Thanks. I'd like one but I don't think it was worth more than 800k with miles and being ROW car. I need them to slide a bit further!
Will probably become evident soon Remember, as stated in the catalog, Sotheby’s had a financial interest in this lot. Ken Goldman

Car I would most like to have in my garage, either the Maserati A6G/2000 or the GTO while the 5000GT was great buying. The Mercedes CLK-GTR seems crazy expensive for a car that can't really be driven and can't be tracked either, that would not be parked in my garage. *All of these prices are tentative, confirmed prices will be available from RM within the next week.
