They are still working on the sound. So it's not very natural, but it starts to sound good with quite a bit of treble when accelerating. A recent good surprise.
Agree, unlikely to happen. Seems Mayor is looking for an audience again by baiting them with complete crap. Time to digress back to the topic of 296 id say.
Id take the 296 over that thing any day. Its basically useless, plus anything out of China only winds up as land fill in next to no time anyway. The Ferrari will always be worth something and represents a far more attractive/usable package than that. Im not sure why you would even put that up as being any form of alternative? The look of it also looks unfinished a bit like a kit car shell.
its probably quiet because there's nothing new to say - the launch has happened a few folk have seen or are seeing the car and its about another year to physical cars with maybe some early road tests in a few months time so no news and not much to speculate about either
I wish, it's all speculative - but end of Q4 2022 / Q1 2023. I'll start paying attention when they call for the allocation cheque.
Might be a while…..I called to set up an Atelier appt in Manhattan and they stated that they have not set up times for the 296 yet but will let me know when they start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If only Gordon's car was affordable....would love to have one. The manual with the V12 is the best experience--at my age, I like to row gears, and am coverting my 599 to manual.
People wanting 1960s design should buy 1960s cars. The world moves on. That said, I don't like the 296's design, but being stuck in the past is even worse.
I've heard some ... but this one is on the podium. You probably haven't yet understood that a successful Ferrari design is "timeless" !!!
Didn't imply such a thing. I was referring to the timeless design that day355 alluded to. One man's timeless is another man's retro or obsolete.
Apparently there will be another tour of the 296 GTB in Europe - there has already been a presentation but I got an invitation for another one. As far as I can remember this is a first, I do not know if there are conclusions that could be drawn (more aggressive selling? current difficulty to sell? or what?)
