    Considering the way that aircraft looked the last time I saw it at Paine Field, I would never have expected it to fly again, even 30 miles!

    I haven't noticed that it has been over 50 years since I worked on that airplane and what an exciting program it was! As far as I'm concerned it is one of Boeing's greats and it was too bad that it couldn't go on further in it's career. It is a marvelous example of engineering in all respects.

    Sounds like it is the lucky recipient of a lot of spare parts that nobody had a lot of use for in the U.S. Other than as a tax write off.
