Very kewl gear. Nah, I only have an axe to play Guitar Hero. My PC equipment used to be all racing and aircraft sims. Haven't played in a while, life and other hobbies get in the way.

Tell me about it , I know I have free bloody apps on my phone, like a TB 303 that completely make that stuff I paid serious cash for redundant, but I do like actually tweaking the knobs, instead of mouse clicking hahaha :)

IIRC T12 is into racing sims, I think he posted a picture a good while back of his racing set up, it was awesome.

Kimi's best track is spa. It's in a couple of weeks. Will spa and the break help Kimi reverse his season of bad luck?

I believe it will, of course he's got a strong probability to get screwd during pit stops...on the other hand, Alonso never impressed anyone there....wich doesn't surprise me because spa is the best track in the world.....

So in practice 1 for Spa, Kimi is more than one second slower than Fernando, & in FP 2 he is TWO POINT THREE seconds slower. I had held out hope that Kimi, being a reputed master of Spa, would finally shine there. It's time to acknowledge that within 48 hrs we will know whether to answer the title of this thread in the affirmative.

please watch the practice before making moronic comments.

Kimi's sessions where riddled with car problems. Car over heating, misfiring etc. Car spend both sessions most of the time in the pits.

Moronic comments? I am offended by that! Kimi had a significant number of practice laps today .. far more than enough to get within 2.3 seconds of Alonso.
    A bit thin skinned, no?

By the way, what part of my comment do you consider to be moronic? That today Kimi was slower than Alonso? I don't think you can argue against that.
Or, perhaps, you disagree with my insinuation that if Kimi can't compare to Fernando at Spa he's just not of the latter's caliber? While you may disagree with that, I challenge you to come up with any evidence, other than conjecture, that it isn't true. 2014 season statistics irrefutably demonstrate this point.

Moderator: we need some sort of icon to emphatically demonstrate that we strongly disagree with another poster. Sort of a gentleman's version of a single digit salute.

If you add up the number of laps each Ferrari pilot drove in today's sessions, you will find that Kimi & Fernando were ... EXACTLY EQUAL on number of laps.
Do you have any data or evidence to support your insult of me, or is it just emotion and lack of manners?

Easy does it guys. Let's try to remember we're gentlemen. ;)

Bas, you'll have to find more articulate and less confrontational ways of expressing yourself than just describing the comments of others as moronic. It's quite inflammatory, you see.

David, perhaps we could have done without the "single digit salute" reply. It's far better to deescalate than to throw fuel on the fire.

    Now let's focus on Kimi's season. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

... this is not his fault. Nature of the thing, recruited into Formula 1 far too young, by 2009 Kimi Raikkonen was already burned-out, having a hard time of it staying motivated. So too, now, Sebastian Vettel.

Danni Pedrosa syndrome, by 2008, Kimi was so burned out, he was having to dig deep, keeping pace with Felipe. Similarly so, not 27 years old, the Red Bull people burned-out Sebastian Vettel.

The worst place Raikkonen could be: Ferrari. Comparatively, where the most loyal driver in the history of Ferrari finds himself suddenly a newborn, alive and refreshed in his nurturing, welcoming Williams microcosm, people around him who love him, Kimi Raikkonen shoehorns himself back into the corporation meritocracy of Luca di Montezemolo yes-men.

Drivers don't go to Ferrari, to nail down championships. Drivers go to Ferrari, to get paid. Rest assured, Fernando and Kimi get paid. Handsomely -- asj.

"... bow, unto Luca! Bow, unto Ferrari! Bow, unto Fernando!" Felipe doesn't have to do that, anymore. Does he? But, Kimi does -- asj.

Number of laps means nothing. If Driver 1 had a perfectly running car and Driver 2 has a 6-cylinder engine running on 4 cylinders, reduced power due to overheating, etc, do you think that each of those laps spent on-track are comparable? One guy is pushing the car to get fast laps, the other guy is just parading around the track trying to get the thing to run right. Apples and oranges, guy.

Kimis car was working fine for a large enough part of practice 1 that he should've been able to get results. He was testing the new wing especially for spa which was purportedly meant to make the car faster. Still way off the pace.

It's time to stop making excuses for kimi. The guy sucks now. Other drivers (I.e lewis hamilton Felipe massa) have suffered great adversity this season but they bounce back and are at times very quick.

Kimi hasn't been quick all season. I can't think of any other instance where a team had had two world championship drivers and one has been so utterly dominated and embarrassed by the other.

Then again kimi didn't really deserve his championship. IMO hamilton or alonso did.

Pretty much any driver in the field right now would do as well or better than kimi Has done in that ferrari. Even max chilton or maldanado...

It's time to stop making excuses for him. He's either suddenly very bad or excessively lazy because the car doesn't suit him abymore; neither are qualities of a champion. His seat is simply wasted space...to think ferrari pay him 30m when they could pay a driver 1m to do a better job and spend the rest on development. I want ferrari to get better and kimi is holding them back and it's time for him to go. Have no more patience
    For the guy.

Interesting how people who hardly know him knows that he's 'very lazy..'
