There's a romanticism about Senna because he was a multiple WDC that died while racing. The bias in most conversations about him leans towards not speaking ill of the tragically fallen hero. I liked Prost more than Senna. Schumacher. Although he was a different type of driver, he was the all-around best and outstanding developer, rather than one who only specialized in magical qualifying laps and near suicidal overtakes. He could do everything very well and his work ethic transformed how his competitors and every WDC contender since had to prepare for the sport. All the best, Andrew.
Right right, and I’ll repeat what I said, Did you seriously just say Alonso and standing up against cheating in the same sentence LOL
Oh gosh you really have the Hammy haters going! It's hilarious to read but yes Hamilton crushed Alonslow deflecting his career off its path and while claiming 4 WDC of his own ensuring Alonslow will never win one again. I always hear that Alonslow is the best deployment driver but yet the McLaren is still a truck.
Great post. I can never put Senna on the pedestal others do simply because of Suzuka, 1990. Therefore I too, prefer Prost.
What about at Donington Park in '93? Against the ridiculously superior Williams car piloted by Prost, Senna was able to dance past both Williams cars and take the win without incident.
That is often referred to as one of his greatest drives. However, Suzuka 1990 exposed the flaws in his personal character.
For me, I think his best drive was in Estoril for Lotus...no aids, no traction control etc and he lapped every bloody car before taking the victory...no other driver has even come close to repeating a performance like that. If I remember right, Prost crashed out in that race on the straight and unlike Monaco, he couldn't pull political strings to end the race early we all know who would've won Monaco if it wasn't stopped early and in a backmarker toleman car no less.
This thread hasn’t been very lively recently, and I was reminded by the newbie currently burning his bridges faster than elton at his nephews Xmas princess party. Elton sucks

Nice drive but it was an active suspension car. MSC in Spain 96 much more impressive. And Spa 98 for that matter even when you consider the crash. He was on another planet
Senna would never had let him by Great drive by Bellof, no question - but he had the most tractable motor for the conditions... And it's all a moot point anyway as Tyrrell's results for '84 were all nixed.
He is such a smarmy little prick isn’t he. Is he going to ask to be stripped of all points in races where he cheated by nerfing opponents off track (he’d lose at least one title to Nico if that happened) and where he benefited from the FIA turning a blind eye to ******** such as his craning back onto the track etc? Wanker
One of my favorite races. I remember at the time many of us thought the penalty was a bit ridiculous. It was raining in the last few laps and bothered he and Kimi were all over the place. Exciting race, but we’re 10 years out. Silly to bring it up.
''During the 2008 Singapore GP, Renault manipulated the race by pitting their driver far earlier than normal, shortly afterwards orchestrating a crash by his teammate. Due to the pitstops that followed after, their driver (who didn't have a hope in winning the race), inherited the lead. It being a street track where overtaking is extremely difficult, he retained the lead and won the race. Do you think the FIA should do the right thing and scrap the results?" Congratulations on your WDC, Massa.
My favorite thing is to read the comment below...it is funny how they call each other names as soon as someone says it is silly, especially those with British names. Where is the famous British Sportsmenship???
