I will be taking one out on the track in Las Vegas in late May and having dinner with the Pres. of Lamborghini. What an invitation that was. On my 4th. recent Lambo (08 SL) and the proud owner of an 07 F 430 F1 Spyder, i can't wait. Eric
Hi all, tonight at Hessing in the Netherlands, we had the official global launch of the LP560-4. It was a fairly understated affair with some nice drinks, some nice stately Dutch girls and the CEO of Lamborghini, Signor Winkelmann, to give a short and presumably unrehearsed speech about the car (he needs to work on his presentation skills a bit in my opinion but it was OK). It was my first time at one of these do's, and I really enjoyed myself. Lot's of lovely cars to see, and the LP560-4 is a nice car. From my personal perspective, it is a bit disappointing that Lamborghini is taking the safe option by not wanting to change the design much. It is still lovely but it's not new anymore and I think they should have gone a bit more out on a limb. That is, after all, what they do best. I liked the interior though, there were very little bad touches and the seats were great. Here are some pics of the evening. The photos were taken quickly and are unedited, they're just to give you an idea of the evening. My apologies for not shooting more of the new car. Onno BTW the guy in the bumblebee shirt is not me, I just took the photo for the CEO standing next to him. What a cool dealer ship............as far as the LP560-4 goes, I love it, although I still wish it had vertical door lifts.
Great pics there, I'm liking the LP560 more and more every time I see it. A perfect Gallardo/Reventon mix, and the white paint and black rims looks really sharp
Very nice pictures onno, I forgot about the presentation, otherwise I would have visited Hessing yesterday, I passed utrecht at about 8.30 Who is the CEO, the little guy next to the man in the pink shirt in the first picture ? (aka Henkie)
Onno, your critisicm is non realistic! Do you know what it costs to get those changings for the coachwork-tools??? Also, did you see significant changes with the Ferrari 430??? What do you expect - the "Versione-speziali-di-Onno" every 6 months??? Its always great to read comments of enthusiasts who can only admire the looks and performance but do not even have an idea what it means to manufacture such car incl. development and economic estimation! just my 2-cts! Ciao! Walter
Thank you for the pics, Walter... The new Gallardo is Beautifull. I like the "Bertone spirit" of that Lamborghini, particularly the "Miura look" of the rear, much better than the first version. For me, the Gallardo is "the must" of all the modern sports cars today. In another way, I don't like the Bugatti design. My home is just a few kilometers from the factory in Molsheim, and sometimes we can see such a new Bugatti in our streets. The old factory is still there. But inside, "only" Airbus parts...
