Agree. I did 20k km back in the 90's in my F40 and have seat time in the tdf. I agree both are hair raising except the F40 does in a good way and the tdf in an unpleasant way when pushed. Hopefully they will sort out the handling in the 812VS since the 812SF already handles better.

I think the original poster should talk to people outside of FChat where some of the tdf fan club will resort to abuse if a word is spoken against it. So many don't want to post a critical opinion. In the outside world, opinions are much more mixed.

People constantly are cross shopping cars and asking for other opinions. It is not a life and death decision. People buy, sell and get others along the journey and usually in short bursts of time.

Its very different if one is cross shopping a car and that decision would be a 10 year hold with no add or subtract in the car life.

I understand the question when a person might be buying their first car. They might actually think that they are going to hold onto it forever and will over think. However, this is not the case and especially at this car price point.

I love the CGT but would have to go with a TDF assuming I can pick the specs for either.

TDF.... only because I think that’s the one that I would drive the most...

Otherwise a CGT is probably the most iconic out of all 3

Ha! The only "point" you've managed to make is that you're a chronic-offender Tdf-troll! :)

Very sorry you didn't get offered a car, Barry, but it's been 5 years now, you really need to let it go!

I'm very new and inexperienced with tdf ownership, but I'll say that part of the fun anticipation after I acquired the car was to go back and read old threads posted on here of owners/members and their experience with the tdf

I started seeing a pattern with you surfacing on many of the same threads trying to point out the tdf's unpleasantness almost like a vendetta of some sort... and not quite sure why. I don't disagree with the somewhat spiteful or wild nature of the car but again, to me that is very much part of the car's allure in an age where most won't reveal that until it is too late and you're in a ditch

I agree. The horsepower race of the last 10 years is getting to the point where its easy to go over the limit. It is interesting to see that the Senna which is another 800hp car discussed here described consistently as hard edged but still well behaved. I wonder whether it is a result of a more track oriented chassis set up?

Interesting your quote about F40. @ttforcefed is another multiple exotic car owner who has said this exact some thing many times.

I currently own two TdF’s, a CGT and the Senna GTR.

Price is not the same on these cars. Assuming that doesn’t matter, I’d opt for the Senna as it is faster and the engine is in the proper place.

My Senna GTR is faster than my GT3 racecars. And the air conditioning works really well. I’ve tracked it over 2,000 km.

I love the TdFs. It’s a great, great car. It’s also about half the price of my Senna GTR. You can actually track the TdF but I’d rather drive a Pista on track. It shows well, sounds good, handles well, and goes fast. But it’s not a Senna on track nor was it intended to be.

The CGT may be the best value in super cars today. Great sound, manual, huge torque. It’s a handful. Trying to engage first gear stopped at a signal going uphill is a Herculean feat.

So if I only get to keep one? I’ll take the Senna. I’m glad I can keep what I have though. Each is great in their own and unique way.

Because I traded my third one in for a Speedster Zagato and also got $150,000.

My two remaining ones are Giallo Strato and Rosso Fuoco.

Just drove the TDF today and I’m speechless and a bit mindblown [emoji2962].
I’m going to gather my thoughts and come back with some perspectives....
