The (one and only) '0846' Debate Thread

The dollar bill is so cool, do you know what your gonna do with it once you get it? Maybe frame it for the office or garage or make it part of your display at shows?

I sent it Priority Express via U.S. Mail to your 5th Ave address, so it should be there tomorrow or Saturday (hey, who knew that our Post Office delivers on Sat?!).

It's a 1988 bill, so it was scheduled for destruction this year, right? I think that's how it works.

Is there sufficient documentation to the authenticity of this piece of paper you call a "dollar"?

 

Careful. That question could land you in grave legal controversy with the U.S. Secret Service and Treasury!

 

Probably not much chance of that. I think the Supreme Court ruled today that an individual does indeed have the right to possess 0846, but the court fell short of actually confirming the authenticity of any particular artifact.

 

Classiche certification required?

 

Highly unlikely notice the non-original mark on the bottom in yellow.

 

Could be returned to original for a "reasonable" fee.

 

Maybe I should cut open one of the chassis tubes, roll it up, put the bill into the tube and weld it back up...

I was thinking maybe super-glue it next to a number stamp on the frame...

 

According to Ferrari, Dollar Bill 0846 was destroyed some time ago....

It looked slightly charred, but was just sitting in storage with a bunch of other Dollars when I acquired it.

That was a terrible day.

0846 is going back to the livery she wore when she was driven by those two Pilots at Daytona. That was a much happier Day.
