Could June 16 be the day for the Ferrari Purosangue debut? In recent days new rumors have led many in Italy to think that the debut may take place very soon speculating that the big day could be June 16. In fact, during a recent interview released by Benedetto Vigna, the latter indicated the date of June 16, the day of the "Capital Markets Day" as a very important moment for Ferrari.
I agree, but even so, I still hope that aesthetically the final Purosangue will be a lot better than this.
I never thought the FF/Lusso were stunningly beautiful cars but still liked and wanted one. Mostly because if V12 plus functionality. At the time the wife over ruled because she thought it as ugly/awkward. The folks who hate the PS, did you love the look of FF/Lusso? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The PS pictured here is awful but we need to wait for the final design. I personally like the FF and Lusso and would have preferred a newer more aggressive version vs. an SUV. With this said I will move forward with a deposit on the PS but knowing I can back out if the actual car isn't much different from what we've seen in this thread.
I did not like the FF when it came out and I still do not like the front and rear styling today. I thought the Lusso was much better but I was still not sold on the styling until I saw it in person. Since I purchased one, I appreciate it even more every time I wash it. Lots of cool cues that point to the past and the present. I think the PS will be the same for me. I felt/feel similarly. The FF wasn’t interesting to me upon launch but the lusso was a big step “in the right direction” to me. When I actually drove one I found it quite compelling which made me appreciate it even more. Now that we have one I think it’s a great car that allows me to share my passion for the brand with my kids and we end up driving that the most out of our cars lately because they ask to take that instead of other stuff which is fun. I’m not sure the PS will be a replacement as much as it’ll be mom’s car while the lusso is mine. I guess we’ll see when it gets here…
Well she’s correct! ”Yes dear, you are so right and I am so wrong. How could I ever have been so inconsiderate……..”<- always works for me. I don’t like station wagons at all, whether you call them “tourismos” or “lussos” or “shooting brakes.” I find her assessment of the Ferraris spot on. I do prefer SUVs and pick ups for running around town and especially highway driving as I like being up high and spacious cabins. But when it comes to SUVs I’d rather less ponies under the hood and more gas in the tank. Hated literally going through a tank of gas going back and forth to Houston in my wife’s Levante GTS. It’s interesting how much preferences and opinions vary among car enthusiasts. I’ve always loved shooting brakes / estates / wagons and was crazy about the FF from Day 1. I thought the Lusso moved the interior game forward significantly but never liked the (imho) fussier and softer exterior, or the less raw driving experience. I haven’t seen the actual PS but the spyshots and renderings do nothing for me. If I am going to drive a big, bloated , practical vehicle with a high CoG, I want a real truck or SUV like a RR. I’ve driven the Cayenne Turbo on numerous occasions and its handling doesn’t come close to an FF or Lusso. Very curious to see what sorcery Ferrari creates to make the PS handle like a true sportscar. Not sure it’s physically possible.
This weekend I did a ~300 mile round trip in my Urus, it was an absolute joy. Fast as F, massage seats, great sound and relatively efficient. I made the same trip in my Jeep, RR and Raptor and it just doesn't compare. If the PS can look the part and offer comparable or better experience I'll give it a shot. For now the Urus is hands down the best car to eat up miles like this for me. Also, plenty of room for 4 and golf clubs. It will be hard to beat.
We’re waiting on our next one to be delivered later this month and they’re my wife’s favorite car. I like it quite a bit too, although I’d rather drive the lusso. But the urus is out when the PS gets here as I expect even more out of the Ferrari… particularly with the v12.
Well Anir, my Mom had a Fiat 124 station wagon when I was little and then I got stuck driving the Grand Marquis station wagon in high school (although it was great for cuttin class and driving around drinkin with a bunch of guys) so I'm not too fond for a reason......but otherwise I couldn't agree more.....
I really like hatches, shooting brakes and wagons. But only hatch I had was a Mini Cooper-which was a blast. We ended up with a couple of California’s to try out the Ferrari ownership. Got her back in the dealership to spec a Lusso and ended up with an 812 instead! So not a bad deal! But my name is in the hopper for the PS if it is indeed V12. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Spoke to my dealer Saturday and he assured me in no uncertain terms the PS is absolutely a v12 and the cars already offered to TOPs and VIPs will come with that engine. Later ones will offer other power plants instead.
Hopefully there will be V12 leftovers for the unwashed masses…. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I am starting to get the feeling that there is not only a new SUV/FUV but also a new 2+2/crossover coming both based on the same basic design.
