Also known as "Magazine Car Guy". You meet plenty of these when you own a Cobra replica. It's easy to make their eyes glaze over though: MCG: "Why the hell did you put a solid axle in it? Shoulda used a Jag rear. (gag)" Me: "Well, the Jag rear has ****ty camber curves and the 3 link rear suspension gives me some anti squat and a tunable roll center." (Roll center is a bluff - the panhard bar is fixed on one end. ) MCG: "uh..." (wanders off) I'm hardly any better than MCG but I know lots of keywords. I also like lot's of cars, not just the one(s) I happen to own.
Lately I've seen a lot of threads comparing car performance, and people are resorting to the "it's not what's faster, it's about soul" arguments (typically to defend 1974-93 V8 models). Just thought this needed a bump.
