For the last like 4 or 5 days the heat index has been at least 110 F and up to 118F. The pool feels like a damn hot bathtub. Anyone else going through this?

It's usually pretty mild, believe it or not. My problem is a 40 year-old house with no insulation that basically acts as a heat-sink.

Last week it was 130 outside in our compound and I'm in a tent. In a helmet and flak jacket. But it's a dry heat... :)

It has been over a 100 for well over a month here in AZ plus on top of that we are starting to get the Monsoon flow so the Humidity is starting to build up here. Honestly i dont think it has been that bad of a summer for us except for the humidity causing my knees to bind up :(

Not too far from you as Im in the NW burbs of Chicago. Every yard here is yellow and while I was on business in Minnesota, there was about a 20 degree difference and the greens were actually the right color. Land of Lincoln needs rain, bad, as I heard a few crops out west are really struggling.

The CA gold country has been hot too. 89o at 9:30 last night when Melodie and I took the 308 to Taco Bell and ate in the parking lot. We did this on our first date eight years ago!

I was going to football the other morning at about 7AM and it was already 82.

The other day we had a state record set, the thermometers hit 105.

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and it was 117 when we got there at about 7pm. That place really sucks. It feels like someone has a hairdrier, or more accurately the exhaust of a jet engine pointed at you at all times. Here in Albuquerque it has been getting to 100 the past few days, but at least it's dry heat with no oppressive humidity like I'm used to back home.
