They say, "With a folding electro chromatic glass roof like the Fioravanti's LF concept. The mechanism was originally shown by Leonardo Fioravanti on his Alfa Romeo Vola concept at the 2001 Geneva, Motor Show.

Ferrari will use the idea on their future drop-top models including next year's F430 Spider.

It is a glazed roof section that simply folds back along an axis behind the doors so that it can rest on top of the boot.

A prototype of the 575 with this roof design was shown secretively during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Élégance

The electro chromatic glass section has five tint settings, including the ability to having it 100% opaque. For security reasons, this opaque setting will also automatically feature when the car is parked and locked.

Look for pricing to be in the low 300’s."

    Very interesting!!!!
