Looking on tire rack and options are bleak. Currently sporting continental all seasons previous owner put on in 2019. Barely 1000 miles but I don’t like them. Looking at the Michelin pilot all season or the OEM pirelli extreme summer tire which is twice the price of the Michelin and I’m personally doubtful it will be even with the extra money. Any suggestions? What is everyone else shoeing their horses with?

I have an '01 Modena with BBS Challenge wheels, which had Conti Extreme Contacts when the car was purchased by me in mid-'19. The wheels are 225/45 front and 285/40 rear. I replaced those tires this past spring with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's, sourced from Tire Rack, and had a local shop mount them. So far, very pleased.

Are these mounted on stock 360 Modena wheels? What year is your 360?

tire rack said my oem tire sizes are 215/45-18 front and 275/40-18 rear. Likely your sizes will manage to fit but would I like to know what your setup is. Thanks!

I would have your front fenders rolled if you want to put ps4s on. I have correct size tires and still got slight lip paint cracking from a bump at some point... yes lots of people run them with no issues but they're one pothole away from fender lip crunch.

If you’re ok with summer tires, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in these sizes.

Yes, that’s the concern with going for a larger size. I am pretty good at avoiding potholes but all it takes is one.

I've had Micheline Pilot Sport A/S 3 + on my 99 360 since 2018. They grip amazingly well (handles corners at 130 just fine) and are factory size but I think no longer made. Next year I will try either the pilot sport 4 or pilot sport 4 all season.

Pilot sport in oem sizes is the direction I am going but wanted to consult with other 360 owners.

Yes, stock Modena wheels. Stock ride height. Zero issues with fitment/rubbing/ASR.

Mine also on stock starfish 18” wheels. I have had my fenders rolled. When I was running RE-11 tires in OEM sizes, I had minor clearance issues, so I had them rolled back then.

I put Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires in stock sizes on starfish wheels on my car last summer and I really like them. They were reasonably priced, quiet on the road, good traction in both dry and wet weather, they don't "hunt" on roads that are not smooth, they have the correct high performance look and they came with road hazard warranty. They are much nicer driving tires than the Pirelli PZero's that I had had on the car. I'd buy them again without hesitation. I have no affiliation with Firestone, just a satisfied consumer.

Thank you for your review and feedback. I had a feeling the reviews would be thumbs down on the pirelli oem tire. I really would like to use the Michelin ps4’s. I have them on other cars and in my opinion, they are the best road tire for sports cars. I will keep the Firestone’s in the back of my mind. I saw those on tire rack too.

Firestones are terrible, I pulled them at 1000 miles, dont grip for s.....

the're are cheap cost wise though, and they look fine visually.

It's 25 year old tire technology. You can do so much better.

Fronts can be 225/40 vs the stock 215/45 to give you more options.

    Rears can be 275/40, 275/35, 285/35, etc.

I run Yokohama Advan A052 and the car is totally transformed. Will never forget the evening mountain run on the Tail of the Dragon where I was being chased by a 991 GT3 and F90 M5 Competition and left them both behind.

Modern tires and good brake pads really wake these cars up. They are, after all, only 3000-31000 pounds with 400hp. Quite speedy compared to a lot of modern cars.

Great story but no way in hell a 360 Modena leaves a 991 GT3 “behind” all other things being equal.

I have an 01, and did the same, used Tire Rack, and had a local shop mount them. Very happy.

All other things aren't equal, hah. I set the fastest lap of the day in my 360 at a recent trackday that had 991.2 GT3 RS, C7 ZR1, etc. in attendance, to give you some idea.

The tires help some (probably 2s a lap faster than Cup 2s), but the bag of meat behind the wheel matters also.
