MP4S. Tires make up a huge part of the character and performance of the car.

I second this... have M4S on my 16M and love them for all weather purposes.
M cup2’s on my Speciale can be slippery when cold...tires break loose if not up to temp.

I was a little surprised to experience this as well, just had new Cup2s put on my Speciale and now even with the wheel straight and all nannies on I get wheel spin on demand with a bit of throttle

Have not found a street tire better than MPS4S for most if not all purposes aside from tracking, I like them much better than PZero in my Porsche experience

MP4s all day. I ordered my 458 with Michelin's. I believe only MPSS were available at the time. The default tires at the time were Pzero's IIRC which I had on my Cali and didnt like as much as the Michelin's on my 911. I do like the Pzero's on my Lambos however they seem to work better on the Huracan. Most uncomfortable tires were the MScup 2's on the GT3. Rain slicked roads were an adventure even after a light drizzle. Hitting a pothole was like taking an uppercut to the chin.

Michelin PS4S for sure. I put these tires and Aperta wheels on my ‘15 Spider. Made a huge difference in how the car drove and handled!

PS4S is a great one for sure. I have used them on different cars. For the 458, you may also want to consider the Ferrari spec’d version of the PSS...it’s called PSS K1.

While no one other than Ferrari and Michelin knows exactly how the K1 spec is different from other PSS tires, the 4s is a generation newer and better.

Put MPS4 on last month before we shipped car to Arizona for FCA meet. Those tires were amazing at speeds that were a little crazy. I switched from P zeros and I could tell the difference in a second.

    Are you saying PS4S?

also does anyone rate the K1 spec MSS ?

my 458 needs new tires ... just wondering whether to stick with K1 OEM spec SS-
Judging by everyone on here the Pirelli are no good although I have always enjoyed the initial grip you get on the Pirelli

I went from MPSS K1 on my 458 to MPS4S (standard spec) and I find the new tires vastly better. Its probably the very best street sports car tire out there right now.
