    Not that it is a big deal now but I always check what and who mentions today's date. No one other than one item on National TV. Nothing locally at the commercial level like stores and services and nothing from the people roaming around in public. Little or nothing in the schools.

    Bob- I always remember because my parents were married on 6 Dec 1944. Dad always joked there were two disasters only 1 day apart.

    My local CBS affiliate TV station covered it twice. Once in a story to mention it's the first PHD observance that didn't have an Arizona survivor in attendance and they followed up with a story from a local sailor who was serving at Pearl when the Japs" attacked. The didn't edit out his reference to the "Japs."

    I saw it mentioned on CNN as well.

    Maybe you need to broaden your news horizons.

    Also had 3 or 4 of my facebook buddies post about it as well.

    some remember, some don't, I guess.

    Both of my uncles served in the Navy in WWII, maybe that's why it sticks in my head. Or maybe the generation I belong to attaches more significance to what WWII was.

    I also noticed the general lack of mention of the significance of dec 7,1941.....which was truly a big day in American and the worlds history.... perhaps japans biggest mistake ever

    It was/is and will forever be on my mind as it rolls around. My mother’s birthday would have been today. I wasn't tuned in to media yesterday but did mention it and discuss it some with my lovely wife when she arrived home.
