Too funny. Working in my Dad's office in Crown Heights during summer break as a teen, I can appreciate the Brooklyn sign. I'm sure there are guys on here, at first glance, that didn't get it.

    And as a gentle reminder...

whatever you do, don't 1) appear to run over a cop's foot and 2) drive to NYC!

Just a note: The 458 spider does not float well. If you wanted it to float, you should have bought a coupe. :)

    LOL

Do F1 Drivers sit outside? Yes.

Do NASCAR Drivers sit outside? No

    I rest my case.

Coupes are for sissies. Real men sit outside so they can see views like this:

    Glad you like it.

When I ski you can see them from the top of Elk Camp lift at Snowmass. Partially hidden by the clouds in this pic.

    Wait.

I only know two people who own a 458. One has a Rosso Scuderia Italia and the other has a TL Yellow Spider. THEY ARE BOTH OLDER THAN ME!!! Both in their 70s.

One just had his knees replaced last week and the other recently had a back operation. He couldn't even sit in the car to go on the Fall Foliage Tour. He is much better.

Now that takes the pressure off somewhat.

Had my left knee replaced last March, I didn't drive but still was able to sit in the right seat!

From my trip to Scottsdale Ferrari.
Drove the car Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday.

All I can say is wow! The performance is mind boggling. Even 7/10s on public roads is way too fast and not go to jail.

Found out the car has a few things that were not on the spec sheet:
    Rain sensing windshield wipers.
    Homelink
    Auto dimming mirrors
    Manual says 30GB harddrive

Stayed at The Royal Palms (Scottsdale) about 10 minutes from the dealer. The upgraded us to the Presidential Suite. The unit had a master bedroom with fireplace and terrace, a master bath two indoor outdoor showers, a bathtub, a private patio with a fountain, a huge living room with a fireplace, a full kitchen with a private terrace, a huge dining room with another patio with another fireplace. Plus another half bath. So we had 4 private patios and three fireplaces. The ceilings in all the rooms except the bathrooms were 20 ft high with huge chandeliers.

Flew back home today. The spider was put on the carrier and will be here tomorrow or the next day. Can't wait.

    Life is good.

The car looks great. Looks like the wheels are diamond finish.

BTW: You're taking your first pics of your 458 spider with such a crappy camera???? Or, were your hands shaking so badly the camera couldn't focus? :)

Hard for a geezer to hold a camera still.

    Way too excited.

Yes. 20" Diamond finished forged alloy wheels.

The car is so loud. Got a call on the bluetooth car phone. I had to stop on a side street. The noise in "sport" at 20 mph was so loud I couldn't understand what was being said. Another geezer moment. LOL Looks like Ferrari is trying to put Tubi out of business. Can't imagine why one would need a louder aftermarket exhaust. If I were still in business and used the phone alot I would seriously consider the Capristo switch to quiet the exhaust for phone calls. Pretty loud with the top down even at slow speeds. The man on the other end of the phone said he could hear the car "just fine."

Started reading the manual last night. Much to learn. Much of it you have to be able to play with the screens to really figure out what is being said. My 360 is a 2002. It is amzing the technological advances that have been made in the last 10 years. And my 360 now seems pathetically slow. Poem: 0 to sixty in 4.2 just won't do.
