Last year was the last for the testarossa. 1991.

512TR was replacement in 92 with the engine and gearbox unit removed from the top.

    best regards, jim

thanks. im trying to crowbar my way into the TR market by next winter or early next spring. so i am gathering all the info i can. i want a car i can tool on myself and being able to drop the motor as opposed to pulling it is a factor in that. i love the 308 in my garage now but want to add to the "playpen" i can my garage.

FYI, if you're not partial to a Testarossa or 512, get a 512. They're better in almost every way; they cost more and are worth it if well maintained.

That said, I'm never going to sell my 91 TR or trade up for a 512.

im partial to the TR over the 512TR. i love the testarossa. i was at ferrari of seattle today and looked at a 91' red/tan TR and a 86' black/tan TR. both were perfect cars. i was very much in love with the black TR. but the $75,000 asking price is a little out of my league. i found a black 88.5' TR for $58k so i will try and do some moving and shaking and try to get that one. but in the mean time i am enjoying the hell out of my 79' 308.

    Joe,
I like the original TRs the best as well! Seems like you're doing the necessary research, and if you do, I'm sure you'll find a great car.

    Best of luck!
