Jim, I'll be unable to attend, but a friend here at work would like to take his son up there. He sent an email in yesterday, is it too late to get in?
What time is everyone attending? A class I was supposed to take Saturday has been cancelled, so I'm looking to go.
I'll be there, moping around looking for a ride-along.. Look for the grown man with the abandoned puppy-dog eyes, and a brown puma t-shirt.. with the puma racecats to match.. wife and I got our confirmation a week or so ago And actually, a ride along for her might better my chances for adding something to my garage in the near future..
Crappolla ! Just registered and noticed the deadline was Sept 30. I guess I'll just have to crash, the event that is, not on track.
Got our confirmations too - our FTW MB club is having a group of cars going, 8 or so in the show and I think 10 in lead and follow. We're taking the Ferrari and the SLK 350. Carol Update sent to MB group for lead and follow (actual change from website is #1). 1) Helmets are now required for drivers and passengers. These can be rented at $10 per head (pun intended). 2) Classroom instruction is now required. This is included in the $50/car fee. 3) You must have proof of insurance, a valid driver's license and a signed waiver to participate in the classes. Waiver forms for you to sign will be provided at the track by the organizers.
¡Ay dios mio! A Porsche 917 and a Shelby Daytona Coupe? SWEET! I wish I could have made it down there!
Thank you TDM and Lamborghini! It was a Great Day! I had a Fabulous ride in the Gallardo with Andre piloting - yes, it was like being in a small jet. God that thing has BRAKES. Just the best - thank you. ps My Silver car was missing that little blue ribbon - Jim, where did you put it? <G>
Great showing! I was a very happy camper. I'll be posting my pics in the appropriate thread tomorrow (later today). Todd, it was nice to meet you today. Also, John and Carol Knight, a pleasure to meet you as well. Glad to be able to put names with faces.
