So after 3 months what are your thoughts and how big are you? I'm almost 6'1" and all of 250 lbs also well past retirement age and with the front seat adjusted nicely I had a hard time getting into the back seat. This the one I drove.

    https://www.automotiveavenuesnj.com/inventory/used-2019-maserati-levante-gts-3-8l-awd-suv-zn661zua8kx324157/?utm_campaign=cars.com_deeplink&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=cars.com

It doesn't come with the CPO warranty and the standard warranty is just about done. A lemon law buy back for check engine light. You do wonder if they ever fixed that or just discounted the hell out of it to be done with the problem and then didn't offer the the 6 yr. CPO deal mso that they wouldn't be on the hook for the issue all that much longer. <=== very probable IMHO.

Besides, I really don't want white again. My current MKX Lincoln's white is actually a better looking paint than their plain white. I just don't get how they marketed this car here. I've seen some great colors in YouTube videos but there are never any like that for sale. Tons of black & white. The anthracite color is nice especially with a read or tan interior. No black interior for me though.

But I need a lot longer than a 20 minute drive in a crap location for decision like this. If they'd let me drive it for a couple of days I think I could tell if it was a good fit but I'd put at least 200 miles on it.
I'm not sure the seats were comfortable enough ...

I'm expecting to pay more ike $56Kto 75K for one but I want a CPO warranty.

Very comfortable for me at just under 6' and in and out of the 220's LOL. Very fun to drive and the exhaust note is intoxicating, but not obnoxious at all. The seat is comfortable but I do miss the front extension for the thighs. The longest freeway jaunt so far has been about 100 miles and I never fatigued at all. I too have some factory warranty left and will extend next year. I think these are the best deal out there for a performance SUV.

BTW, I took out a Urus on the freeway the other day and it didn't seem like he was lifting. :D :D

Thanks. The extension support for the right thigh is my problem now. Kind of always has been. When it gets exhausted I have to just stop driving. If I'm going to be spending this kind of money this has to be a non issue.

Although that's probably a high 60's car without the story.

So what, Are you going to be riding back there? No! It’s just you and Robin, how often will someone be riding behind you? Probably not very often, and if they are its not going to be a long trip. That shouldn’t even be a consideration.

    Late to the party,

I got consistent 24- 25mpg on the highway with sport mode OFF driving from Reno to DFW …. However with Sport ( Corsa ) on , which keeps it in 1 gear lower at cruising speeds came in 17-18mpg

My son is just under 6'2, also weighs about 250 and he has an inch of clearance over his head. I brought him to the dealer before I bought it to make sure he fits. Before I got my RRS I was set on an M6 Gran coupe and had to rule it out bc he didn't fit in the back (head crammed).
Bob, The Maser has the same room inside as the RRS except for the rear storage capacity and 2 fewer grocery bag hooks, which I actually kind of miss. I've had 3 across the back seat and no one complained.

It's actually a Trofeo, I purchased from another FC member here.

FWIW, I'm 6'4" and 230 and fit most comfortably on long drives
( I left Reno on a Saturday morning and made it back to Dallas Sunday afternoon )

That's amazing mileage. My 2015 Lincoln MKX with a 300 HP NA V6 goes pretty good, handles like crap and get's 10 MPG around where I live and maybe 21 on the highway if I really work at it.
    Which model year is it?

While it’s been a few years since I been ordering them, but Maserati tends to spec their seats to be a bit firmer with more bolstering the further up the food chain you go. The ‘Lusso and Zegna option spec cars is a more luxurious seat, which are probably not available on the Trofeo and GTS (now Modena S).

The seats pictured in the Modena S are what almost all GTS and Trofeos have. The last set of seats are rather rare in my explorations. The first set of seats are the only ones I've ever seen like that.

I could be wrong but I believe the first set of seats is the “new” Zegna material which is more like a leather weave as opposed to the original Zegna material which was a wool/silk blend.

Reporting back. Just came beck from seeing the new Indiana Jones flick, which BTW was horribly boring, and after a leisurely 25 mile run at 75mph I was getting 23.6mpg. Very quiet and comfortable and also able to get angry in a flash and run with a URUS if I want to.

    Yeah, she's a keeper!

I kind of like the look of that silk seat facing. I understand that it serves as the ventilation as well. I wonder how it would hold up? I think you'd have to special order that in GTS/Modena S though and I kind of doubt anyone did.

I'm still debating about whether to pull the tirgger on one of these or a V6 S model and then get the chip upgrade.
I sat in a couple of used models last Friday and the seats wee still an issue for me.
Have you done the chip upgrade?

    Do you have an update?

No I have not but I intend to. The plan was to wait a while and then get the chip so it feels like a new car again. There's a good chance I'll be in Vegas soon and I will bring the ECU with me first a flash at Formula Dynamics. Otherwise, it has been trouble free and loads of fun for 2 years now.

The longer you wait, the longer you will have not experienced a great vehicle.

Add me to the list as yesterday I bought a 2022 with a little over 20K miles. Light grigio with red. Black wheels and calipers ugh! But the price and condition were superb. Photos in a couple of days.

Now ... learning how to use it.

    Update:

Because of the nearly month long hassle getting Maserati's approval for a factory extended warranty I decided to have the local dealership perform an oil/filter change. The Carfax records indicate that this was done at the dealership in California not that many miles before the car was put up for auction but there's also a 1 year limit and it was bit overdue. It's also a lemon law buyback for a rattle. I think I the found and fixed the rattle. The spare and toolkit weren't tightened down properly. But ... I will say that if you get caught out in sport-mode and hit a really ugly patch of bumpy pot holed road (typical here) then the car makes a frightful racket. I suspect that's not exactly the kind of road they had in mind for Sport-Mode. ;)

So as a part of the oil change it got a general service condition check and the very young tech, they're all very young at my age ... :(;) It passed everything with flying colors!

So now onto sorting out the discrepancies between the CarFax records and Maserati's.

Presently I've got a good sized chip near one headlamp that needs touching up. I'll try to do that today. There are a few nicks in the windshield but one looks like the beginning of a crack so I think I'll see if Safelite can inject their magic fix for that.

Then next week it gets PPF on the front. Since I had some damage happen coming home from the car lot I'm reluctant to expose it to major road like I95, I80 and I78 until after the PPF is on.
So I still haven't had a chance to enjoy it.

Hope ownership is working out well for you. I recently picked up a 2021 with 20k miles Bianco on cuoio/nero with the Zegna Pelletessuta leather. I really like those seats and they're an expensive upgrade but you do miss out on ventilation with that option.

It's not been WO issues. I won't elaborate quite yet as I'm still trying to get some things resolved. Hate the black wheels & black calipers and over all just too much black!
