    Hello All,
    I've seen these valve adjusting tools for sale here and there..
    How does it work exactly? I have adjusted valves on other machines but using feeler gauges etc. Plan on farting around on my '77 308 $150.00 bucks for one? Can someone make up a sketch for me so I can make one ?

    The tools are just aids to help you 1) depress the valve shim + bucket, and then 2) hold the bucket down by its rim so that you can remove and replace the shim -- see this thread for photos from Vince that show it well:
