Headed to Vegas on Thursday and a big part of our Vegas experience is dining out. Our usual steak restaurant is The Cut, but it was far from impressive the last time out. Any steak restaurant recommendations on the strip? We would also appreciate an Italian and seafood suggestion. Thanks

There's a Latest Las Vegas thread with lots of recommendations. For steak, wife and I liked Boa but it closed. Have heard and read good things about Gordon Ramsay's place in the Paris. If you want an OK steak, but a great view, nab an outside seat at Mon Ami Gabi, also at Paris, right across from Bellagio fountains. Don't know about seafood or Italian...T

Thanks. We usually do Gabi for breakfast or lunch. Also enjoy Olives and Otto's for lunch. What about STK?

I don't know about STK. I can recommend Le Cirque at Bellagio, Eiffel Tower restaurant (get the souffle) @ Paris, Secret Pizza @ Cosmo, among places on Strip. The Steak House @ Circus Circus is good (seriously). If you have kids, Holstein's at Cosmo is fun. Bouchon & Peppermill for breakfast.

I don't know if this look will work, but if so, it's a great thread for all things Vegas.

Italian - Il Mulino in the Forum Shoppes
Breakfast - Hash House A-Go-Go, several locations
Steak - Del Monicos at the Venetian. Yes, the Steak House at Circus Circus is great. Hard to believe but true.
Sea food - The special salmon wrapped around smoked salmon, at il Mulino...... if the chef will make it for you. One of the most incredible dishes I have ever eaten.......if you like salmon

Enjoy! And write us a review so we all know when we go next time.

Wow, two CC recommendation on Fchat. I'll see if my wife and food snob daughter are on board for Circus Circus dining. The last time I was there, said daughter was four and she pronounced it "kind of dirty". LOL

The casino itself is a true old-school Vegas affair, verging on dump, compared to newer Strip properties. The steak house is another story. Nothing crazy like the 250-day aged steak at Carnevino, but a good solid steak, nice service and (for Vegas) good price. If you really want to test their culinary bounds, the $10 prime rib special at The California downtown, I can also recommend. ;)
It's not the best meal I've had, but for ten bucks you can't complain, and you can pretend you're doing Vegas the way grandma & grandpa did it back in the day before the lux properties.
Btw, if you do CC steakhouse, it's a short walk across the street to the Peppermill for one of these for dessert!

I second Il Mulino for Italian. I have never been to the steak house at Circus Circus but I have heard it is excellent -- which is darn weird!

I haven't been to the bazaar meat the SLS but it's supposed to be really good. My GF is not a big meat eater so I gotta find someone to go with sometime. :)

I had some great Sushimi at the Cosmopolitian Blue Ribbon Sushi. What's interesting is they also serve some meat items in case some of your party doesn't like sushi. I thought to myself... OMG how good can a Japanese restaurant be with a menu like that? But it was really good stuff.

Best Mediterranean seafood place in Vegas by far: Bartalotta at the Wynn. Eat outdoors EVEN IN SUMMER.

Nobu in Hard Rock and Bar Massa in Aria also really good for more contemporary Fusion style Sushi.
