‘98 355GTS When I change the selector dial for the routing of airflow, there is a shuddering sound. I’ve tried multiple search terms and can’t find threads for a fix. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just a guess, but it could be the gears in the selector actuator are starting to fail (break up) and binding.
Thank you. Any knowledge of a fix procedure? My car can’t be the only one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Robert, air direction problems are certainly not rare. I directed a gentleman to this message thread only yesterday: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/new-owner-with-ventilation-problem.514304/#post-146306075 It's a long thread and I advise you to spend some time reading it. Basically, however, it's a matter of finding a rare new or second hand actuator (no progress seems to have been made on finding replacement actuator gears) or replacing "driver chip" #6 in the HVAC ECU. Shuddering doesn't really sound like a control panel issue. Best of luck! Suggested F348/355 search words: Tambour Air direction motor/actuator Air diverter HVAC ECU chip Timer actuator
