It’s an interesting review but there are some areas that that missed. First the adaption of the Citroen system was done by Maserati and wasn’t pushed on them by Citreon. Second, the “trunk” would have been as large with a traditional braking system with the vacuum booster. Use of the Citreon system made that possible. Second, Citreon hydraulics were a well proven system on millions of cars with very low maintenance on cheap cars and had been around for some time. They work well and are easy to use once you accumulate to them. Fortunately they got it right that the Bora was and is a high performance touring car and not a sports car. It was safe, passed it crash test on the first try unless Ferrari on one its high end mid engine models. It was and is extremely comfortable for long trips. It really doesn’t require constant maintenance if the factory service suggestions are followed. Last but not least, in European form is it a very beautiful car that looked great and didn’t mimic other cars of its era.
