    Looking to replace the converters on a 1980 308. Is there a source for rebuilts or used converters. Is there an alternative that will still allow for smog passage in California?

    In CT, I was able to get the cats sent out and recored at a reasonable cost. They basically cut one end off the cat, shaped the replacement the core, and re-welded the casing. Total cost was about $250.
