Nice one Andrew, now how far can we push you?
Right, thats a 1 week ban for you
I don't expect to actually have to do a great dealm but you never know, My IT and Car dealing background may help chatching out a few more trolls,
One thing it will allow me is to do is to help build the UK section back up, so anybody with any ideas please let me know
Welcome Andrew - you'll not have any trouble on this section .
You have a tough job on your hands mate, a lot of the regulars love their new home, you could try and bribe them with money
Good luck Andrew , there is a lot of work needed to build up the UK section again. It would be interesting to hear your initial thoughts on how you plan to do that.
Welcome Andrew all the best with the new post
what they said
welcome new mod andrew
Hiya andrew! Only cost me my firstborn to be a mod, how 'bout you?
Hey Tom, let's just say I'm now renting one of my kidneys
Well done Andrew. As a mod on a few other lists I know it is a big commitment.
And if you fail, I'm sure it'll taste very nice with some flava beans and a good chianti. Tftftftftft!
thank you Clarice
Further to my note below do you have any initial thoughts on how to bring this place back to life ?
Andrew - good luck with the task in hand, I'm sure you're up to it.
Without going into too much detail on line (yet) I think the bigest problem will be establishing Fchats credibility and that of it members in the real world, some of the major sepcialists in the UK that I've met have a rather negative view of the UK section, and as such a very retisent to get involved,
I've already written to several people and organisations trying to see if we can establish better links with and involve our exisitng sponsors more.
Most of the people in the UK section would probably want to leverage our buying power with cheap insurance, track days, parts etc and we can only do this if were not view as a cliquey group of Ferrari owning loons.
I'll start a "where do you want the UK section to go / do" sticky thread for general ideas, but anything more specific we could do with discussing off line
Good luck, m8
What Tony said.
I hope you are given the freedom you need to do this job without the heavy handed touch from afar.... I wish you well.
There's only one way to find out.
