Lets make this the best forum ever !!!!!
Hey Rob Many thanks for our very own UK forum area Im becoming addicted to this thing as much as I am to sitting in my Garage and staring at my lovely Ferrari ( oh while its not a Maranellos). Hats off this is a great new Board Image Unavailable, Please Login
Joe have you sussed out the battery problem yet? must apologise about my reply on the "other"site didn't realise you had a 360 till after i sent it,anyway the charger I have cost £14 in halfords and has certainly worked for my 328 which has a gemini fitted. Best regards Dave McGuire
James , yeah i logged on as 360 spider and will change my profile once I get the hang of the Site?? Well the car came back on Friday,, its ok at mo "but" when i connect the Charger the light is still indicating thats its taking charge, ive removed it to see if new battery is OK. Strange thing is this, When I took the car out it seems to be different!! I mean the idle is at 1100rpm ???? seems high" but" the engine is smoother and jumpy. Im wandering if they fitted New ECU unit,, Does anyone know what the correct idle speed should be as it now appears very high??. Ive just recieved new Scuderia Shields from Paul Bianco in Florida, they look nice Does any of you guys know anyone who can Panelbeat the inprint on th fender?? Im told it sounds more of a job than it is to the experts? Oppppss the "Bacons" burning BRB!!
Morning Joe, OK suace on my bacan sanwich please Hope your car is finally getting sorted. Weather cr.p, not an F.day.. Catch you later wazza
Wazza, Hope you like um black un crispy ?? Any idea on the idle thing?? Heard a rumour thatyou are waiting for a 360 CS true? or false?? Joe
God !!!! You didn't burn it again !!! Not sure on the idleing thing. I swapped my 360 back inf Feb. But I seemed to remember 1100 sounds about right. Try letting the car idle for a bit then blipp the gas hard for a bit to see if it settles back. Maybe there is an autochoke or something that comes on due to the colder weather. Just a guess, I not an expert in such things. My previous 355 always idled at around 1100 and never a problem. Yes, I have a Strad on order. Was expecting it in October but have just been told now mid November. So excited. Counting the days. I'm off to the Macau GP next week it should on my door step wrapped with a bow and tag saying "present for Warren" when I get back. . Whatching Peugeut 306 racing on TV yesterday and noticed A Mr Butler Henderson racing. Any relation to Vicki. Hope it's not her husband ! . That would put and end to my fantasy.. Wazza
Warren get VBH to deliver car in person..... what a day Q. What one would you ride on 1st A . I know which one id test drive first???? Ok 1100 rpm. Just try it and see what happens, good trip next week and enjoy
Hello everyone. Been so busy recently have not had time to check out Ferrarichat - such a good website. Slightly unusual what with the new software but quite good we have our own section. Take it easy guys. Manu
hello all, after a few days of getting used to the new software, i think this site is even better...... when we out for another run?! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm certainly up for another drive Tony! Just a question of finding a dry clear day. How about somewhere like Brooklands as a venue? Or perhaps a decent pub! Steve
Once the engine has reached normal operating temperature the idle speed should be 1050 rpm plus or minus 50 rpm - there may be slight variations, for example when you operate the A/C or when the cooling fans switch on, however the ECU that monitors the idle speed should correct any fluctuations. MW
i like the new format and it's great to see a UK section. The whole thing is addictive, and it's sorted out several problems for me. nice to see another Chester driver !
I'm no Ferrari Veteran, (Defined as more than 10+yrs) of ownership, But I have been around them for a good few years, My Ownership days only began about 4 years ago, Over this time I've learned a few good tricks and have amassed a fair amount of knowledge, What I would like to see is a UK Resource for good first hand reliable advice on all things Ferrari. I have a great relationship with my mechanic who is a true Ferrari Vet, - (More than 25 Years of Servicing & Racing them), So I'm OK, But I do know there is a void that needs to be filled.....Any Takers ? Also got a '85 GTO that will need tyres in the Spring any suggestions ? Regards, Steve328
Steve328, I was referred to a tyre shop (which I haven't been to yet)http://www.micheldever.co.uk/ . Maranellos wanted £600 +vat for 2 rear tyres and Micheldever quoted me £550 or so for all four (Pirelli P0 rosso's) !!! I also referred a friend with an RS4 and the results were the same ! They are definitely worth a call Cheers
