Joe/Steve and all... I'm up for a drive out too,'tho St Albans is too far for me in the eve.Steve's suggestion of a drive and low alcohol beer sounds top.Wazza, any chance of you coming-with 360 CS- of course!? Joe, you gotta love Maranello,eh? £6.5 k for wing badges! What planet do these people live on?? I have a son of 7 [Nick]so maybe on next drive i'll bring him and you can bring your son too? regards Tony Ps...have you changed num. plate, Joe?
Joe/Tony My daughter Sophie is 6 and is Ferrari mad (I have a pic of her in the TR somewhere - will look for it tomorrow). She'd love to come along too! How about a Sat or Sun lunch meet at a pub south west of London, off the M25 or A3 maybe? Steve
Tony/Steve Sounds good, let me know about rideout, would be good to see you again, bloody dark mornings and nights are really pissing me off. Tony , got the plate and just getting the DVLA thing sorted you know retention of one and that. Looked at a stolen recovered 355 today and made a bid, waiting to see if I get a call, easy repair needs some parts missing ...ie wheels seats, some body repair. theres a couple of guys from Kent FOC who are also interested, so I will keep them informed too. Has anyone seen or heard of the event that James was on about??
Tony/Steve/Joe Has anyone seen or heard of the event that James was on about ? I was referring to another track day at goodwood with a bunch of guys that I know next saturday 14/11. There is normally a good selection of interesting cars. Anyone fancy a run down ? regards James
James, i'll check diary and long range weather forecast for Sat! Can't help but feel we're missing out by going to Goodwood and not getting on the track!! Subject to above , i'll be interested in going.... T
Joe, what was left of 355!? Is it an insurance write-off and what happens about ownership afterwards? T
Tony Perhaps a plan for the new year (maybe Spring when the weather is better) is to organise a Ferrari only trackday??
Tony et All I'm off to the Macau Grand Prix for the next two weeks for a bit of Formula 3 and GT action. Hopefully the new CS will be waiting for me when I get back. Look forward to meeting up then. Wazza
Tony a salvage yard about five miles from where i live had a RHD 355 in £30,000 it went for i think, went and had a look at it roof and doors a bit mashed trim parts missing the body was a mess though,i know two chaps who work at this place and they told me to go and have a look, so i did to have put it right you could have got a stright one with the cost involved,he lets me know if any fc come in and i get to know very quick,so i will post any crunched fc just incase any of you guys are interested Dale.
Hi all, Tony -Fcar was on the "S" plate, not recorded, I bid 26k and figured 15k parts and some proffessional care, my time I give for free It needs: Screen, Rear bumper-could repair Wheels Frontseats body damage : front wings/slight rear wings/ slight Whole car prob needs paint to bring back to mint. Steering wheel and few other bits missing. Engine runs -- is stock Ive called the guy last thing yesterday and he says its down to the wire, anyone know of this car ...?? damage occured from stolen recovery in Germany....forces guy owned the car, based in Germany. History good all F- maintained, recorded 44k on clock ( so im told ) ... worth repaired £50 - 60 k as a good buy, or use as a basic track car... Im on for next Sat, weather permiting, any idea on meeting places etc chaps?????
Ok joe will ring him later, this chap knows the cars coming in before anyone, they dont come up that often as you may well know,if any do will e-mail you with details and phone no of salvage yard and these guys deal in a lot of top market cars, and you can take control of the deal and viewing yourself, Dale.
Dale, nice one;Joe's the one after a damaged/project 355 and will appreciate any info on that. Joe, re next Sat, will you bring your son? Only downside of having the kids with us is having to drive sensibly!Anywhere off A3/M25 is fine for a stop -off for me. T.
No prob not to Goodwood, its difficult to to keep an eye on them as well, I thought if we met on weekend at Pub etc for a chat I would bring him, but Goodwood is prob not a good idea for me Tony. How you doing , have you been out lately for a drive?? I think by Feb /march next year we should have a good bunch of Fcar owners who will form some kind of Club. FOC is a bit of a click thing... yr in if you know the right people... whats yr thoughts on that??
Tony/Steve perhaps we could all meet up as Ferrari kids rideout- I could bring Jamies Racer, the kids could all ride the thing till the fuel runs out, thats the norm.... I know other fcar owner from essex who expressed interest as well.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
