    Can anyone here confirm for me if daytona seat inserts and quilted rear shelf/roof were options that one could order on their first year 550? Thanks, Andrew!

    No, they came later. Near as I can tell the Scaglietti options became available in the winter of 97/98, but I do not have an exact date.
