Why does it also have the Euro side markers? Was that a required addition once the US spec car hit the European market? Seems duplicative to me.

I cannot imagine a 7-figure Dino at present but stranger things have happened. There are vastly more informed and qualified people here who know more about Dino private transactions so I'll tread lightly. As I understand the highest price realized at auction for a Dino 246 was Sep 2017 [Maranello, ITA auction] with GTS Chassis # 07214. One of only 30 Euro-market LHD GTS models with "Chairs and Flairs" in Blu Dino Metalizatto (106-A-72), it was single ownership and had just under 17,000 miles on the odometer. Originally sent to Belgium, but went unsold and returned to Italy where Nocentini Automobili of Firenze found a buyer for the 1973 car in March 1974. Before RM Sotheby's auction fees it sold for 529,000 Euro (2017) approx $574k USD

gotta appreciate a woman who appreciates great car design. the dino reminds me of the E-type. flowing graceful lines, almost feminine yet displaying strength.

C&F Dinos can be polarizing...you either love them or hate them. Personally, I don't like my Dino to look like a kit car.

I don't think dino prices are anywhere near stopping. If a 275 now goes for 2-2.5 million, then the Dino's are a bargain. It is one of the prettiest road cars ever to have been produced by Ferrari. The 4 Cam sounds incredible, and these cars love to rev
The second I saw it on bat, I immediately saw the front end was droopy.

    It's,

Hagerty crunched #'s from all auctions, and from as many private sales as they can, to arrive at their price guide. If you look at their latest revision, dino prices are pretty close to the bat auctions. It's not just bat reflecting dino prices soaring.

Not sure what “fair” condition means but my guess is if you can find one that is decent for under $400K buy it so long as no rust and and pretty much all there and sorted out— which are pretty much all the cars Jon finds— and for much lower.

You seem to me critical of dino prices rising. Every post I read from you in the thread was a bit cutting. These are fantastic driving cars. Many think the prettiest road Ferrari ever produced. The first mid engine road car for Ferrari is fairly significant, and with 2 world championships derived from this 6 cylinder engine, 1 in f2, 1 in F1, it has plenty of history tied to it. If Daytona's prices are rising, 275 are up, even 369 and 430 have risen, why so snarky about dino prices, which have accelerated faster this year than any of these this year. To answer your question, if you don't own one, you really don't understand what they drive like, sound like, or how superb these little cars are. The gentleman I purchased my car from also had a Daytona, and he said the dino was a far better car to drive, his words, not mine. And since he owned both, at the time I owned neither, his opinion far outweighed mine.

Thanks for the tutorial. I have owned four 246 Dinos, 2 GTs and 2 GTS(1 was a FCA Platinum c & f) and have driven many others. I agree they are fantastic cars and I intend to acquire another when the right car becomes available. I am not critical of Dino prices rising but of people paying big money for marginal examples. I know some of the backstory of the droopy GT that was a No Sale on BaT and hoped that buyers would do their due diligence. BTW 275(GTS, GTB) prices are not up--they are stagnant or slightly soft.
