Correct as we've discussed....interesting they made the C4 different to the rest.
As you and I have found out though is that the pinion length varies hence making all of these equations pretty much immaterial

I bought my new crownwheel&pinion set from GTO Engineering, they were the only source. 2K pounds from memory.

Of course, I only needed to replace it because the piece-of-sh*t Italian mechanic who did my registration inspection did donuts in the car

Well I just hung up from the reconners and that ratio is not available.
Same story as the Melbourne mob---if you get 10 sets made it's viable.

So I'm going to be stuck with an auto diff in a sportscar :(.

Nup,the places that listed them are in the same boat as the mob in Melbourne, buy 10 sets and we'll do it for you.
This will be the fight I take to CTS.

There will only be two options.

Get 10 sets made, keep yourself 1 spare, put the rest on ebay. They'll eventually sell. Anyone with a 400A would welcome the extra acceleration.

It's not just about the diff Ian,the whole description of the car on both online and print is incorrect in a number of areas.

The people who reconned it are terrific, pity we couldn't find the right stuff:

    "Hello Simon,

As discussed on the phone we nearly have finished refurbishing the axle. Please find attached some photos. The last 4 photos have been taken before we started working on the axle.

Below the list of the works carried out

    The axle has been stripped
Checked the condition of the crow wheel and pinion, all okay
    Checked contact pattern, all okay
Cleaned main casing and vapour blasted
Outer flanges have been refaced and put new seals
All items have been sandblasted and replated
    Replaced all bearings
Stripped lock differential and check for wear, all okay
Cleaned and re-assembled. Remeasured plates preload + turning force
Reassembled axle, remeasured back lash and adjusted
Rechecked diff contact pattern. All okay

As old you before we used another differential which was in a much better condition and discarded the one you sent back

We should be able to send it back half of the next week

I soon as we are ready I will send you and email so you will confirm the delivery address."

He is Italian hence the couple of errors.
