I am slow recommissioning my M series and have just refinished the air box cover, filter housing and header tank. Should I use the original stickers for these as images below or replace with new reproduction stickers? Car is showing a lot of “patina” overall Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is a very good and classic question....I started out reusing some of the original stickers with plenty of patina on my old L-series, but must admit that I gave in and ended up using reproduced stickers because it looks so much nicer. I assume you change out the paint.....so why not the stickers? Best regards Peter
I've seen that Alta-Tensione sticker with the clipped ends before but can't remember why they were cut. I would keep the old stickers for reference and put on new stickers. If you drive the car much they will get their own patina with time.
Totally agree with racerboy9, they will wear in quite quickly. I did mine about 5 years ago now and they have a nice worn in look already.
If I remember correctly it was Parker Hall in the US details on this fchat post, they are the best repro's about https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/parker-hall-has-retired.601871/ Tony
or here http://www.dinoparts.eu/EN/ferrari-246-gt-gts/body-fittings/badges/ http://italiancarparts.com/labels_plates/ferrari_labels_plates.htm Tony PS Beware cheap imitations eg- the ANSA stickers are incorrect at Italiancarparts
As I recall someone with knowledge saying, no sticker on the radiator expansion tank. Perhaps that was only true for certain years/series or Euro vs USA.
