Let me know how that recipe turns out. Reads like it will be very close, and I'd love to be able to make some of my own.
Decided to skip a movie last night with the younger brother. Saw Sup Vs Bat and nothing else looks good. https://www.cineplex.com/Showtimes/any-movie/cineplex-cinemas-abbotsford-and-vip?Date=5/4/2016 I have left over tortillas from the soft tacos. I'll make steak fajitas for tonight.
The long haired blonde guy is Scott Winters. He was on the HBO show Oz with his brother Dean Winters. The later is probably best known for playing the Mayhem guy in the Allstate commercials. Both good actors, just never had a good role to make it big.
El Wayne - you are a godsend. I would of never thought of boiling it before frying it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did! No salt but I threw it in boiling water for ~10 mins. Playing with the tofu after boiling it was one of those "ah ha" moments. You'll get it when you're drying it off. Leave it to a car forum to perfect crispy tofu simply. This was the first thing I cooked btw and it still had crunch by the time everything else was done. My peanut noodles on the other hand need a little more work. It's hard making a peanut sauce that doesn't make things dry while not being a complete heifer.
Had a late lunch. Took the truck into dealer for oil change and new tires. Had winter tires on. Dealership is in an Automall. The mall also serves as a rest area. Its right beside the freeway. The Wendy's and Tim Horton's are right beside the dealer. Got bored and decided to get Wendy's. Mazda is near the Ford dealer. They had a first gen Miata on the front line. It was in very good shape. The 242K kilometers is too high, if it was under 100k I would have bought it.
Wendy's is not bad compared to McDonald's. I like their Frosty. I worked with a Canadian dude when I was in North Dakota. Always bragging on Tim Horton donuts. I guess they do a full menu now? Tonight was leftover pasta. Boring...T
Mostly soups, sandwiches and salad. The donuts are good. But now they seem to stock less selection as the old days. Some locations are shared with Wendy's. Tim Horton's was at one time the majority shareholder of Wendy's. The actual Tim Horton died in 1974, car accident. The car was a Pantera.
I'm thinking of heading over to Lynden WA, its 5 minutes from my house. Hit Safeway and grab dinner next door at Bob's. Since its WA they do burgers anyway you like. Might hold off and do it tomorrow. Donald Trump is holding a rally at the fair grounds.
Turkey tacos! Brown up ground turkey with cumin and chili powder. Get a good char on sliced onions and bell peppers. Mix, sprinkle with a bit of cheese, squirt of fresh lime juice, some sriracha. Tasty and quick...T
Did the Bob's burger. Nice and rare. Tonight will be fairground type stuff. I'm not a big fan of hot dogs, but when they are at a sporting event venue or county fair grounds. Somehow they taste really good at these places.
Knock on wood. I've done burgers rare since I was a teenager. Never got sick. The only burgers I'll overcook or go medium with. Are the prepackaged burger patties. I'll usually buy a package of the Angus beef ones at Costco for easy dinners with lots of kids over.
Stopped at the Asian market today. Gonna give that recipe a try. Told the cat to relax. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Smacked cucumber « Gastronomy Domine Instead of the chili oil, I used chili flakes. I should have beat up the cuke a little more.
Thank you! Tonight was chicken (thighs) and homemade peanut sauce. The sauce was garlic, peanut butter, salt, black pepper, a pinch of dried cilantro, and some milk (didn't have coconut milk). Plus sriracha. Reduced it down by about half. Served over white rice. T
I'm doing it tomorrow for Mother's Day. I'm curious to see how yours comes out tonight, especially since you've tried the real thing and know how it's supposed to taste. Don't forget to post pics!
Getting ready for the wok step. I can tell you that these are (at least for me) something you'll need to make a few times as you learn along the way. No disasters, just "it would have been easier/better to...".
