Do you ever toss these in your brick oven? If so, how is it?

Next time you post a bird toss a quarter in there so I can tell what it is. :D

A pizza oven would be a nice thing to have.

A trip into Vancouver this afternoon, despite having my fix at Costco, I plan on having hot dogs again. Either for lunch or dinner. If I don't have them for lunch or dinner I'll have Fatburger instead. Either way I'll have hot dogs today.

Posted before but will post them again: JAPADOG - JAPADOG - Japanese style Hot dog in Canada

They always have long lines. Many famous clients go when filming here. Its so popular amongst film people, they now have two Southern California locations.

I thought I read somewhere that Costco sources their dogs from Hebrew National.

Costco dogs and Hebrew national are both ok if you can't get a real one. ;) These are the best dogs on the planet. I just wish I could get them out west here without paying so much for shipping..... Shopping Cart

Yes that shows $154 to ship $90 worth of hot dogs.

That all looks amazing but that chicken looks out of this world. Do you do it in a pan? How long does a chicken take to smoke like that?

Costco hot dogs are very good. Usually grab two whenever there. The Japa dogs are on a whole other level. You'd salmon on a hot dog would be horrible. No its the most amazing fast food I've ever eaten.

I brined it overnight and rubbed it with a blend from Wisconsin that my neighbor gave me. It also had 4 healthy injections of that Stubbs chipotle butter I told you about.

3 hrs over a blend of apple and mesquite then foil wrapped for almost 2 more.

Might do a movie with my brother. Still have to check what is showing. Regardless we are hitting the French bistro place.

Discovered Costco in the US has a deal on Porterhouse steaks. Going to grab a few and have a BBQ over the weekend. Guess its a 4th deal on steaks.

What?!? I was just saying to the wife the other day that I don't recall ever seeing t bones and porterhouse steaks at Costco. Z - did you notice if they're prime or choice?

Tonight was salmon. From Costco by coincidence. You know you're suffering chronic grill deprivation when even the gasser looks good! After a year of inactivity, I gave it a power wash. Good scrub. Then did a burn off. Lit on the first try! 😀 Good old Weber. Seasoned simply - fresh cracked, garlic and onion powder, parsley and a little garam masala for interest. Served with rice and steamed broccoli. Got the grill scorching hot and cooked the salmon skin side down. No sticking. And, as a bonus, crispy salmon skin to snack on. 😋

It's good to be home! Knock on wood, nothing mechanical or electrical acted up in 24 hours. I guess houses are like cars, they get grumpy when they're not used enough?!?
