I happen to hate turkey, Jason. That's why I just pretend the turkey breasts are slimy pale Tri-Tips when I smoke them.;)

I'm not a big fan of turkey. But had some last night with some scalloped potato's. Was talking with my older brother, he now has high blood pressure. He's on meds for it. He's started smoking marijuana to relax. I should have done that for my pain meds, its better and safer then morphine.

And you can get the cannabis with higher CBD percentages so you're not really feeling "high".

Kind of involved you need to cure it then season it a few days

Best to google it as there are so many ways. I do it using only spices available from the old "silk route" hundreds years ago.

I made a turkey sandwich (the only thing I like about turkey, its good sandwich filler). Few slices of tomato, a little pesto mayo. I needed to use up a jar of Kirkland pesto sauce. Few slices of cheddar and onto the George Forman grill. Also made clam chowder from a can!

Think my infection has cleared, no more pain. Still seeing my doctor tomorrow, I'm sure he'll order tests.

Taking a blind stab at baked beans....having never tried making them before. These are garbanzo beans, bacon, Nouveau Beaujolais, black strap molasses, apple cider turned vinegar, chokeberry syrup, a little of my hot drink blend of cocoa/cinnamon/maca root/coconut sugar/turbinado, cornbread flour, liquid smoke, salt, rosemary. Eaten on some skillet heated corn tortillas as tacos.

Sounds pretty good. My aunt used to make Boston baked wheat with whole kernel wheat. It was tasty. I was gonna try making it once but didn't.

Decided to use up the turkey and made another sandwich. Tonight I think its sushi/sashimi. Doctors appointment at 3pm. I'm sure he will order blood tests, etc. Here they send you over to a lab, its first come first served for the tests. Probably be out by 5pm. My doctor is in the neighboring town, I'm on the border, so its closer to go there. A few Japanese restaurants I want to try over there.

That sounds good as well. I always liked tabouleh. When young, we had availalble at the kwik shops bags of snacks called “Whuts”, which were toasted wheat nuts. Bar-b-que was one favorite flavor in those.

Is that a turkey or a chicken. Looks dead either way. ;) Which just happens to be the way I prefer to eat my poultry too. :D

I'll have to see if I can find the baked wheat recipe again. I remember there being pretty copious amounts of bacon, sugar, molasses and a few other things. I'd have thought it would turn to mush but the whole wheat berries not only held their shape but had a little "tooth" to them not unlike al-dente pasta.

Chicken. Wife got home from work later than anticipated, so it was a tad over done. On the bright side, the skin crisped up nicely!

Last night was some salmon sushi and assorted sashimi with chopped scallop rolls. I have a package of "fresh" tortellini. Might make that with Kirkland pesto sauce. Might be picking my cousin up at the local airport at 7pm. So might just get a cheeseburger and fries at Triple O's.

Waiting on the hospital to call for an appointment for an ultrasound. Guess my doctor wants to look for a possible "tumor" on the right kidney. Other then that think my infection has cleared up.

Making the tortellini. Did the cheeseburger and fries last night. I'm never going to drive my cousin home from the airport again. Got home at 10pm.

Hospital finally called today. Have an appointment at 11am. Hoping they find nothing. After I'm going to head over to Eastern Washington state and complete a real estate transaction. Planning an early dinner at the sushi bar I found just off the I-5.

Got my tests done. Doesn't look like I need to go down to Eastern Washington. Might stay home and make beef tacos.
